sent to Sabre
I don't have Warlords, probably never will. I haven't really looked into it, but if it's anything like past expansions, it's 90% scenarios, 10% new techs, civs, etc. I never play scenarios, so it never seems worth the money.Where are you from? Put yourself on the Apolyton Map!

usually that's what it's like. and here there are again quite a few scenarios. but although i was beta tester i never played a single scenario.
no new techs actually, but the typical new wonders, new leaders, etc.
what's mainly cool about warlords:
- 3 new traits of which 2 are really fascinating
- great generals, etc make super-promoted units possible (you can quite quickly get a 35 XP unit!!!)- Artificial Intelligence usually beats real stupidity

Yeah, Warlords is turning out to be quite fun. I'm already in a Warlords PBEM, a Warlords PTBS, and another PTBS that should be starting up in the coming week or two.
I already played one game as the Barbarians, though I didn't really plan things well enough and lost. But it was still fun destroying 2 of the Civ's before I couldn't keep up anymore.
And I just started a single player game last night that's become really cool. And I was up way too late playing it, too.

It's weird, it doesn't feel like it's been that long, but I can vaguely remember playing my last turn...Where are you from? Put yourself on the Apolyton Map!

Oh well. Sabrewolf: how was Norway? I don't know anyone who went there on vacation, except in a Douglas Adams book. What's the nicest things to see?
Turn on to aeb.-C.

corossol: well, these impressions of norway are just about as accurate as if you'd say the X-Men 1 movie impression of canada is valid for the whole country
oslo is one of the most pleasant cities i have seen so far. clean, full of beautiful tall people (well, i was only looking at the female population, but have been told that the men are goodlooking too), surrounded by large (for european standards) woods and fascinating fjords. and the country itself is wonderful too.- Artificial Intelligence usually beats real stupidity

Another turn sent to Sabre, as the starving people in the north begin considering cannibalism. I just hope the supply of German slaves holds up until the war is over.Where are you from? Put yourself on the Apolyton Map!

It must still be with Sabre. This game has really slowed down. 7 turns in the past 3 months.Where are you from? Put yourself on the Apolyton Map!

here we are in the middle group i guess
don't forget that we are also in a very tight situation with everybody at war. some games can be completed even in a completely shïtfaced state, while here an unintentially exposed unit could make you lose the game.
my current turns take me about 45-75 minutes. writing down which unit should engage with other one in which order. what should happen if one unit loses against all odds, etc.
for that delay i wish to appologise!- Artificial Intelligence usually beats real stupidity
