hey guys, this group is really wonderfully reliable and quick!

now if only my world would be a little nicer

would you all be up for another game?
my proposal:
- again team games (but single player is just as fine for me)
- balanced map
- later game stage begin - maybe something around medieval era start?
- because of the later start, expansion will work faster. therefore we can take a slightly bigger map (normal)

it would also be cool to "spice up" the world with either some tough AI or raging barbarians. in fact, i'd love to try the latter once. i heard it is quite tricky but once you control them you have super-promoted units

I've never started a game in a later stage before. How's it work? You just start with all the tech up to that era?

yes, you start with more techs.

your cities start with some "extras" and also with more units, depending on the era. for instance industrial gives you 3 settlers, 3 workers, 2 explorers, 3 riflemen. classic start gives you a worker, and archer and a scout. and so on...
