there was turnover in our homeland and no tax has been payed for it (we are a capitalist state, you know?). as foreigners you benefit of the very low 10% tax margin. locals have to pay close to 90% on taxes and science subsidy!

Tragedy has struck the House of Lump. My desktop PC's monitor, which I thought recovered from its crankiness, has once again fallen into disfunction (it's definitely the monitor as I've tested it with different cables and computers). Without it I cannot use my desktop and so do not have a computer powerful enough to play civ4. It was a very expensive monitor so I'm hoping to get a replacement as it is still under warranty. However I have no idea how long this will take (or even if I will succeed ).

With sabre rulling both lumpland and celto-aztekialand our side has a substantial advantage as he is a much better player than me. So feel free to get someone to permanently replace me if you want, otherwise I predict sabre will win well before I get my monitor.

Well it seems they have a very good warranty service. So I could have a replacement monitor by this coming Wednesday. Well I'll keep you all updated anyhow.

You could use a TV, if the computer has TV-out... Of cousre you'll have to squint to read anything, but then I've never tried it with your superior PAL resolution, lacking in framerate.
