  • Err, ricketyclick did you mean to do that?

Adolf Hitler has declared war on everyone he has contact with and is now offering peace treaties in exchange for cities.

Sometimes when a diplo screen pops up it is easy to click on accept by mistake. I guess this is what ricketyclick did.

Is Adolf the same player as Woody? And are there any rules regarding players who are obviously messing around?

    • No I didn't mean to do it. I got home from work tired and didn't notice that the peace treaty was in exchange for a city. I think I'll retire at this point, as that is too big a set back to recover from at this early stage, even if the city is returned, as it had expanded to be using some flood plains and was most of the way to producing a settler.

      • I'm fine with a 1 turn reload. Game is going slow at this stage with Pinchak away anyway. That's a lame move from Adolf.

And if everyone else is against the reload I might point out that I'm the main person to gain from Ricketyclick retiring and having a wacko civ next to me.

        • I don't want a reload. Yeah, he fell for it. Too bad, so sad. Play on. I'm going on a rampage! Bwahahahahaha!

          • ???

            What is happening?

Why did ricketyclik retire? Why we need to replay last turn?

            • Because I gave him an ultimatum, and he accepted it. I now control one of his former cities. I think I will move my capital down there. It's a run-down, dirty, shabby city right now, but it has potential. Clearly, the previous owner didn't care about the place.

              • Evalds - read my previous post.

Woody/Adolf declared war on everyone he knows in-game (including you) and then sent around a proposal to people with a second city asking for peace in exchange for their 2nd city even though he has no units in sight.

Unfortunately ricketyclick clicked on accept by mistake and lost his 2nd city.

Woody is obviously just messing around.

I would prefer a reload. If we don't reload, I'll capture that city off Woody in a couple of turns anyway and no doubt I'll take his own capital soon enough as he's nearby. With rickety civ being run by an AI I'll no doubt be able to take his capital soon too. So if we don't do a reload I will end up being pretty strong due to a) rickety making a slip up and b) having a noob as my other neighbour.

                What do other people think?

                • You thinking about 1 turn reload, but i'm thinking about quit of this game, becouse playing with this "kind of movement" is so f.c.ing noobish for me. I'm stronger angry when i thinking that those situations can appear in future in this game. This is something like waste of time for me. I hope you understand me. I don't want play with kind of people. I wanna play normally, not watching while someone doing "stupid things" laughing to everyone, becouse someone made mistake on his benefit. For me playing like (person who declared war and then try to take a city from opponent calculating that he'll make a mistake) is so lame and playing without any honor and respect. Eh just no comment.

                  • Okay, this game is clearly being taken far too seriously for me. I was only a replacement player anyway, so I really have no interest in continuing this game under the current bickering that is going on. (Not just against me, but against silly things like players playing their turn too early! WTF?)

Set me to AI, or wipe out my cities, whatever you prefer. I leave them undefended to make it easy.

                    • How is it that anyone can fight in a war when te game is not working half the time?

                        • That is most kind Evalds, and sorry everyone for delaying the game. I would have accepted a decision the other way, and bear no ill feelings toward Woody.
