as i am leaving tomorrow morning for 4 days and upon return have to finalise my borebone server, incl. pitboss and have a guest staying at my place next week, i doubt i will be able to be ready until 2nd week of oct. sure, i can (will!) try to hurry, but i cannot promise.

but in the mean time we will still need to contact dacole for the save game (unless geo's intermediate version should work).

anyhow, i'll get on it asafp.

Hi Daniel. How's things? civstats is still running for the game, but folks have not been able to log in for awhile now. Sabre can take over hosting the game.

So what we need, and you can send it to me at brucehynes57@cogeco.ca is the autosave from the turn at or about the 21st of September, or the 20th. That seems to be when the game went down. And the password.

i think the apolyton-redirected-email address doesn't reach his main address, but it's still worth trying.

however, he has been hosting very reliably the last 2 weeks. had there been a power outage he would have noticed it

i have had a setback in term of hosting, as my new job is sending me off to germany for a few days next week, which means a further delay in hosting. it would be great if we had another solution, even if it's just temporary... does anybody know a warlords-hoster?

i have asked aebbeka to help out on this, that will release the pressure for me to finish the setup overhastedly

can one load up from a regular save (geomodder's) or do we need dacole's save?

Geo's save would work, but the host would still need the admin password.

Oh, I can host a warlords game for a short time if needed, I already do after all (once I get LoE back up).

So, do I sent my recovery save to Snoopy then? He can host with that save (and Dacole's password once we have it)?

I have been in touch with Daniel via email. He sent me my recovery save from about the time things went sideways - Sept 20th or so.

I have asked him for an end-turn save from that period, and the password. Just hang tight for a day or so.

Daniel doesn't know what the problem is. From his perspective the game was running along fine. He apologizes to us.

as for the problem, i'm pretty certain it has to do with the dynamic DNS!

I forgot that recovery saves are automatically overwritten, and since I'm involved with another Warlords pitboss game...
