I agree with you Snoopy, but I just want to underline that not everybody is able to play all the day. It is not only a question of putting enough effort. Somebody who can play all the day and somebody who can only play on the evenings won't have the same chance, that's a fact.

But I agree to say that this is part of the game. Bad luck for people like me

in a recent turn i got a warning that a person joining the game had wrong game assets. i'm not absolutely certain, but i think it was provisorii.

what does this imply? could one run modded stuff and thereby exploit the game? or is 100% run on the server anyhow and only calculations, pathfinding, etc. run locally?

In theory, yes. Provi I think has some issues due to old installs, but he should fix those at some point ... Provi if you need help figuring out what is causing the issue there's a program I can send you...

well... I know what is causing it, but if I fix it I can't play anymore.

My cat destroyed my warlords CD during the summer so I had no other option than to get a no-CD crack.

And obviously if I patch my warlords with the latest "BTS patch" the no-CD thing would not work anymore.

Why is that? It just replaces the DLL, leaving the EXE alone. There's no reason it should affect any EXE issues (ie, cracks).

You don't have to apply the 3.13 patch, just apply the file I uploaded. Backup the DLL you have now, replace it with the one I uploaded, and you're set

I don't remember off the top of my head the file location, probably something like apolyton.net/civ4/warlords_coredll.zip or something, but it should be accessible somewhere in the BTS Patch thread, or else browse the last few pages of the Civ4 News category.

As I recall we all PM'ed dacole a password for our civ at CivStats. You may have to ask dacole to look up those PM's for the people who have dropped out or else, I belive, he can reset, at his will, since he set the game up there.

Dacole has stated in the past that he will reset the passwords for players who have dropped out - but as of yet, there has been no follow-up to this said action.

Dacole sent me an email explaining that he has had a death in the family and that when he has time he will come to this thread and take care of the CivStats issues.

But even with your patch, Snoopy, I still get a message warning me that I am running a different version of the game as the host. But then there is no other issues. Perhaps though the system will alert also in my case since I'm running Warlord?...
