yea it crashed on me AGAIN last night system has been unstable recently for reasons I don't understand completly. I have rebooted and defraged my system so hopefully it won't happen again (sigh) still don't have beta's password for his civ so I can't play his turns....have fun catching up the next few days (heh)

gahhh!! It crashed again for reasons I don't understand at around 6:45 EST today. You can be using either a direct IP address or the dyno thing. I recommend the dyno thing (I love saying that) since it will always be correct while the actual number changes.

It seemed to crash while it was trying to make a save after aro played his turn at 6:45. I attempted to load from that save but the program froze up so I loaded from a 1:13 save. The autosave after aro was only 1kb. Try connecting again aro...really is odd.

I'm back... Actually there was in the air a not encrypted wifi connection. From the hotel or a neighbour? No idea, but I could play my turns, so thanks to you, whoever you are who doesn't encrypt your connection!

I think there is a setting you can activate that will do that for you. Snoopy mentioned it to me before.

I don't believe it's a setting, I think it just happens automatically for any MP game (PTBS or otherwise). The autosaves are saved in the MP autosave folder.

My understanding is that they save automatically every turn. Bohemian Epic does. Sorry about the password dacole - although it looks like I may not have missed much.

This brings up a good point, can everyone send me the password they are using in case anyone needs to leave on a more permanent basis so I can find replacements if I have to. Thanks!

That is not necessary. As PTBS admin you have the ability to kick anyone at your leisure. They will be replaced by an AI until/unless a new player joins and selects their civ.
