The Sacred Save for our next leader

What I tried in my Reign was to get a start on a decent Navy

I chose not to go after Ironclad for three reason:

    #1-Cant enter Ocean

    #2-Slower than a Frigate

    #3-Both upgrade to Destroyer

It was a matter of putting numbers in the water and being able to respond quicker if need be

I hope this meets with approval by our High Council

          - Military Tradition research complete. Scientists now focus on railroads

          - Drydock done in Rome, work begins on missionaries

          - Antium finishes a grenedier- work begins on cannon

          - Marseilles completes a drydock, next on queue is a bank

          - Lyons finishes building it's barracks then starts work on some walls

-Workers concentrate on lumber mills up by Chartes and some more minor road connections

            - Chinese come asking us to give them Steam Power. I quickly shrug them off. They were already annoyed with us anyway

            - Lyons finishes it's walls and begins work on an aqueduct

            - Pisae christens a new frigate and begins work on West Point! I chose Pisae because it currently produces the most hammers in our empire AND it's in such a nice central location AND on the coast so it can provide the experience pt. bonuses to land and naval units. It seemed like a no-brainer to me

-Another frigate sails out of Cumae's drydock. The workers turn their blueprints back to page 1 and repeat the process.

              - Catherine enters our Palace and asks us to convert to Hinduism! I stoutly refuse but then- get this- I turn around and ask HER to convert to Judaism (offering nothing in exchange of course) ... she ACCEPTS! I must really be a lady's man *struts in front of mirror*

              - Rome finishes a missionary and starts training another. This one's destination is St Petersburg. I plan on converting the rest of Russia to Judaism so they will keep it as their state religion and hence stay our friends.

              - Oxford University is done in Paris, I decide to capitalize on the science boost and by building an observatory.

                - Montezuma storms into our Palace and demands a copy of our world map. I tell him to shove off and play in a sand box somewhere.

-Rheims finishes a drydock then begins work on a courthouse

-Orleans finishes a frigate then starts building a courthouse

                  - Rome trains a missionary which I send up to Russia's northernmost town. Training begins on yet another

                  - Cumae sends another frigate out to sea and the workers again turn back to page 1 of the blueprints

                  1828

-Tokugawa comes over and demands we cancel our deals with Ghandi. I flatly refuse

-Alexander stops by and wants us to trade him Scientific Method for Constritution. They aren't very close in beaker value and he has nothing else to offer so I send him home to think of a better deal.

-Cumae completes yet another frigate and the workers know the routine...

-Rome finishes another missionary but can't build anymore yet, so works on a grenedier

                    - Rheims establishes a courthouse and starts designing a university.

                    - Orleans finishes it's court and starts building an observatory

                    - Chartes completes a drydock and begins work on a court

-We successfully spread Judaism to St Petersburg!

-Tokugawa comes back, now he wants us to convert to Buddhism. I mock his gods and now he's FURIOUS!

-Paris is done with it's observatory and now works on a colloseum

-Lyons completes an aqueduct system and breaks ground for a courthouse

-Tours finishes a dry dock and works on a library

                        - Ghandi asks us to trade him Steam Power for Constitution. Again, same deal as Alexander. I cannot accept this, and while Ghandi has other technologies we don't have he conveniently refuses to trade them.

-We spread Judaism to the final Russian town, Russia is all Jew now!

-We now have a very capable navy defending our coasts... 3 up on the northern coast near the border with Russia, 4 over on the western edge near India and another 4 over by Rome. I suspect the nations most likely to attack us anytime soon are Japan or Aztecs, who are both over seas to the East. So any more frigs we might wanna station over in the sea between us s an early warning and interception force.

                          - We now have Railroads!

I begin a great project of connecting our cities from various parts of our empire. Highest priority is to get a direct line from Rome to Lyons

Combustion is next on the list -- destroyers are nice

                            • I like this graph showing our GDP. We were neck and neck with Ghandi for a while (the world leader) and then we broke off for a few hundred years but now we're right back near the top!
