I am good with continuing. I think i can find a suitable substitute while I am gone.

The game is in a quite early stage so even theoretically if all players would change that would have minimum to none impact. Most have a single city yet and fewer might have recently found a second city, so I think we can replace who ever needs to be replaced and go on. As a matter of fact better replace early than late.

Unless someone has a different opinion both Lothar and EPW will be permanently replaced.

Now Earthworm, if you feel that you can find a temporary replacement while you're away and you want to join back later that is perfectly OK with me. If you think it would be better to retire the sooner you say it the better.

Just to say that I am OK with whatever you guys decide. If the game continues I will play (assuming I can ever get into the turn ). If you end it - well, I haven't invested a lot of time and effort yet.

In my opinion this game has had such a consistently slow rate of play, and now is having turn-over issues, I think it is mostly dead.

Within the next six months I will be making a fairly large move across the country, and will be removed from being able to play for an extended period of time. Knowing that 1 player has already been replaced, another might be soon, and I will need an extended sub, I think at this point we are beating a dead horse.

P-Rex and Keygen have both been really active over the last month, but we haven't heard much from the others. If everyone has strong opinions about continuing I am ok with that, i hate to see a PBEM die as much as the next guy, but sometimes the horse just aint gonna be the same even if it does get up.

OK, it is obvious by now that we've got a problem.

Lothar as already known he temporary (permanently in my opinion) dropped this game and EPW is playing lately and repeatedly, if I am correct, quite slowly causing delays.

I have a long experience with PBEM and when this happens and nobody does something about it the game slowly fades away.

I want to avoid giving a solution on my own because that would mean I would have to open Lothar's and EPW's turns, change their passwords and replace them with other people more willing to play, more responsible with the turn rates and more respectful to their teammates, resulting in that I would be forced to see their turns...

Well, the rule is 48 hours the most. I would normally had no problem with that if it was an exception but the game is stuck for over a month now and besides the game has become quite slow for the past 3-4 months. Not to mention that we have a new player who might get into second thoughts about joining the game.

As a matter of fact if any participant consequently fails to play within 48 hours he/she will be replaced.

Also Plat, did you tried to open Cerberus' turn using the new password?

Then either Cerberus didn't enter some character correctly or perhaps we should have a full turn with the password changed before Cerberus can use that password.

but I did enter a new password.....so here is what I did as suggested

The only thing I can think of is for you to open the turn with the admin password, change the password, play the turn and end it normally and send to the next player. Hopefully playing and ending the turn will save the changed password properly.

    off to EPW

Not sure what the problem is here. I created a 2-player PBEM game for testing purposes, I opened one player's turn using the admin password and successfully changed the player's password to a new one. That means I was able to open the turn again, use the new password and play the turn.

If you simply delete the password it won't work, you have to enter another password as an admin.
