I had to replay the turn, because Warlords crashed when I ended my turn. Should you have received 2 mails (which I doubt) take the second, the first is most likely corrupt.

I do not live in London, I live in South London. South London is different, a warm melting pot where everyone can become a bona fide South Londoner by virtue of two things. One: living in South London, and two: having no aspiration to live in the Cotswolds.

In any case, you've been an excellent "loser" so far (if you'll lose even, i'm never so sure as you seem to be; though in a way having lost the capital is a bad blow in the face i admit. it can't be fun, but i didn't dare to try to hold it)

Do you want to go with random for civ for the new game? i suggest playing financial again, since most others aren't this time it might do wonders for you, maybe try elizabeth, or the mighty inca with their culture granaries. Augustus and Mehmet are also among the leaders that are very strong when relying on their core strengths (UUs ;-), organized) in my opinion

          • Edited to ensure the correct smiley.

            1475 off to Claus.

Seb don't mind losing (too much ) this has turned into a quite a learning exercise for me, never multiplayed Civ before and it does me good to get knocked out of my SP bad habits (such as spamming cottages, not paying enough attention to the diplomatic situation etc.)

As for the next game, just been watching I Claudius on DVD so I wouldn't mind giving Augustus a go (yay! I can try to do my Brian Blessed impersonation) just don't eat the missus' cooking if you pay us a visit.

Hmm! Need to change the avatar to something more seasonally appropriate.
