I've sent an email to Syoris who seems to have dropped out. If I don't get anything by this evening I'll go ahead and play his turn with the Admin pw.

I see that the patch is now out, looks like for real this time. How shall we coordinate the patch smoothly into our play? I think we need to make sure that once we use it in a save that everyone uses it. Just to be safe.

I want to play a new sp game with patch to determine if it's for real

then there is the next idea--2 intsalls

1 with patch
1 without

I think we should all patch at this point. It looks stable and won't affect the game so early on.

just played for 5 plus hours

was able to do sound, high resolution and run smoother

In actual fact, I am not sure I will be able to continue. I tried loading my last save with my patched game and was not able to get beyond the password dialog.

If I receive a patched save it may work, but if everyone has the problem of not being able to load the save, it may mean the ned of this PBEM game.

For other games I need to be patched, so I may be forced to resign this one. We'll see what happens.

Hmmm, might as well post this and see if it is any help.

According to one theory it may be that someone who has not set their pbem password may be able to load a save after patching. If that is true, and at least one of us has not set a password, there may be a way of continuing this game.

Anyone not set their password?

I just patched and so far a single player save and a game with Vovan who is also patched has worked just fine
