sounds like a good idea.
the other pbem is a little farther along, but i'm not sure when we make contact.

Next time I'll try opening the save the "old way" meaning, save the file, open cIV, then load the game from the multiplayer menu.
I have a feeling that the game is starting in SP mode when the PBEM save is opened. Since, I'm "Player 1" in the SP games, my name is overwriting your name.
Clearly this is a bug. Once we can confirm, I'll post the results in the bug thread in the cIV forum. Let's see if opening the old way restores the names.Haven't been here for ages....Comment

do you open the save with the cd in the drive?
use open with civ4 and it will launch you right into the game
I found out my mistake in game set up was thinking the smtp server for the next player was wrong so I deleted it...wrong
it shows send to and your smtp server addy
works no problem nowanti steam and proud of it

okay, when I save the file, fire up cIV and then open the PBEM save via the multiplayer menu, everything is okay
I still can't send the save via the ingame SMTP mailing thingy. That sucks. That was a big selling point with me...I was digging the possibilities of that.
