Right at the start word came that our research into horseback riding was successful and I had to decide, what shall we research next? Keeping in mind that the French don't seem likely to go away without some firm persuasion I decided on construction that we may build catipults.

Bad news! We were beaten to The Parthenon, but we were able to convert the work we have dons so far to 284 gold.

The time has come! We have discussed in the court the idea of moving our palace to Antium. Now is the time! Expenses continue to rise and we are currently running a 4 gold deficit. It is time we took matters into our own hands and do what we need to do.

We finished researching construction this year. We can now build catipults. What a pleasant thought! Now working on the Calendar so we can further exploit our land (silk)

Word has reached us via diplomatic messenger that the Japanese have captured the city of Cuman. This is strange as the only war we are aware of is between Cyrus and Alexander, though we have no diplomatic ties with Japan so our information may be incomplete.

Ah, that explains why Japan does not appear to be at war! And yes, I love the unit name, very fun!

Well, not much to report up until my retirement at 660 A.D. which was the year our palace was moved to Antium. The turn before we had a deficit of -5, but with teh move that deficit was wiped out! We are still at 90% research and no debt accruing! Yay for our side!
