Hi Guys the diplomatic situation has suddenly speeded up. We are about to meet the Mayans (Civfr) to the south and the Egyptians (RB) and Indians (CFC) in the south west soon.

Now might be a good time to consider who we ally with for the long haul.

You were saying that RB is our biggest rival so who is in a position to hurt them?

I reckon CFC (Indians) and Civplayers (Aztecs) but I don't know the quality of the other teams. The Maya (Civfr) have consistent creditable scores.

We don't know the full map and distances between say RB India and Aztecs to judge.

Maybe we could propose long term alliances to all three and then burn which ever ones turn out to not be useful to us?

As you may know our people live north/north-east of yours. We will soon found our southern border city just there where our chariot stands right now (along that river north of your city). So you will have trade route to us through this city if you haven't had already.
We will soon have our own source of sheep, but we would trade our wheat for sugar/silk/spice if you had an extra. We could agree to offer our wheat now if you could guarantee to get a tradeable luxury in a reasonable time. Let us know if you agree to this.

Thanks for the info! Our northern neighbors are the WPC and German teams. Our western neighbor is CivPlayers, and our southeastern neighbor is the CFC team. Our northern neighbors have done a lot of squabbling with each other, but other than that things have been pretty quiet over this way so far.




Are you guys intersted in an EP spending agreement? It might be nice if we can both spend no more on each other than is needed to get graphs. Let me know if that sounds worthwhile to you guys.

I like the deal with the Maya as we need luxuries but I don't know about Realms Beyond. What's an EP treaty anyway? And isn't RB the guys who are running away with the game? It seems like we shouldn't be working with them.

it means that we don't spend our espionage poins on each other. They are not spending theis on us anyway, so for us this deal is worthless.
