Open your eyes, see what Carthage is doing to you! The greedy evil is among us. By now egypt has evidences about Carthage's exploit, it's time to everyone realise what is going on.

Economic exploit:
Right now every sinlge city of Carthage which has the mining corporation already planted is getting 25 base production just from the corp. Yes .. you made this possible.
Lets do some math:
Assuming the Carthagian cities have forges, factories and coal plants (or if not soon they will have) they get 50 production per cities per turn. With 12 cities thats 600 production and we did not count civics, heroic epic and military academis (you made this possible too.. since Carthage never had a war herself)
So 600 extra hammers per turn... and how much Carthage pays for this? you bet.. not enough..

For many it's just offering upgrades and then we get to the other category of crimes:
They say that peace is good for buisness... but they never continue with the truth: war is even better for buisness..
for them. By using their technological superiority they do upgrades for others, encouraging them to attack their neighbours and getting favors from those who already poor.
They got great persons, great generals, resources so much thigns that they could not possibly pay for everything fairly.
One nation, the Russians has already gone.. maybe not all of you knew that Carthage played a big part in it..

So as I've said.. open your eyes.. refuse the "help" which comes so high cost that you don't even realise yet.
Stop selling your resources for cheap, ask a price which at least as beneficial to you as to them. and don't let you become their slave by depending on their military upgrades, wage your wars with honor.

Some facts:

1) We have never talked about starting a war in the entire history of our nation.

2) We have always been fair and upright with all our business deals. No deal whatsoever has been broken.
Even as we speak we will not cancel our ivory deal with Egypt, as we are true to our word.

3) Yes we are a rich country, but not at the cost of others (and there is one country which is even richer..)
Each and every deal has been win-win for all partners.

4) Egypt is doing themselves, what they blame Carthage for.
Their corporation is also buying resources all across the globe, at similar prices.

5) We have sold some very limited troop upgrades, to make money to keep up with Egypt in the tech race.
And rightly so, it appears.

6) As we speak we are using our influence to (perhaps?) end the war between Rome and Greece vs. Hungary.



We are saddened to see that Egypt is clearly "creating the mindset" for a war with Carthag.
Let us state it once more, we don't want war.

As the famous Carthaginian Curtis Mayfield sings: We got to have peace..

We call upon the forces of peace within and outside Egypt,
although it appears these forces are under pressure in Egypt itself...

Admiral Hippo Regius has been appointed as commander of the brand new Carthaginian High Sea Fleet.
His task will be coastal defense and to ensure that all sea trade routes remain open.

Some informers see his appointment as a reaction to the tensions on the Egyptian border.

Given the latest developments Carthage keeps increasing defense spend. Now the Thapsus Gunnery Corporation received a mega order of 2.500 machine guns of the hyper modern CAR-47 type .

The Carthag Stock Exchange noted a plus of 4,7% for Thapsus Gunnery Corp. Analysts expect a further increase of the stock price. One analyst said off-the-record that it is "a sure thing".

Breaking news
Egyptian destroyer intercepted and sunk east of Sicily

This afternoon an Egyptian destroyer has been intercepted while operating deep in Carthaginian waters, east of Sicily. Our valiant sailors didn't hesitate and engaged this enemy vessel at long range. The "Nemesis of Hor Aha" steamed full speed ahead at the agressor and managed to place a few well placed rounds. After a fire exchange of only 6 minutes, the engine room of the Egyptian destroyer was hit. The explosion was terrible. Only 16 of the 2214 Egyptian sailors survived the battle.

Luckily the new Carthaginian weaponry and training proved a decisive advantage. Admiral Hippo Regius declared stage Red: all Carthaginian naval forces were put on full alert.

The true face of Carthage-an open violation of a non-aggression pact

Carthage attacked a single ship on neutral waters with their armada during a living Non-Aggression pact and open borders treaty.
Every nation is advised to rethink their current treaties with Carthage as they are not true to their word.

-We had a NAP till turn 300 and they attacked during this period
-they hve attacked a ship which presented zero threat to their fleet
-they claim to rule that part of the sea while the site of the attack was near roman land-why would Carthage believe that hey can decide whichpart belongs whre without asking us or Rome.
-they have attacked witout warning

Carthage has declared war on us.. when they have an advantage, thanks to the exploitation of poorer nations.. they had taken their great generals, great engineers and now able to build the most advanced fleet on the world.
Egypt honored her word and did not used her advantage when we had it even if we knew that Carthage would use it in a reversed situation..
But we know something: words mean nothing.. the winners write history and the time of talk is over. It always should had been our responsibility to oppose Carthage, but we were bound by our word. Egypt asks her friends to stay out now-do not intervene on either side.. if Carthage wants war, then it is

Carthage did NOT break any agreement.

Furthermore:
1) we will not let any single scout destroyer look for our fleet, when we know there must be a much larger fleet around.
2) there is no reason for your war ships to be so close to Sicily when you do not have any ill intentions

We had a nap for the first 300 turns.. you may twist the words, but it shows clearly how peace-loving you really are.. Our _single_ ship was on _neutral_ waters scouting for a possile Carthagian invasion and as it seems we were rigth to expect it.
