Think you're all good at this game huh. Your "oh oh oh I belong into tier 1" arrogance will be completely gone when this game is over. Bunch of fascist nazis. Look what you did to the Incas! And now Mongolia and India.

All Tier2/3/4 civs should work together to kill you.
I call upon all 'lesser gods' (yep, that's us) to work together against these colonial antisemites racist fascists from europe!

    We will overcome their evil!
Mon dieu! I'm a sub, you know.

I also liked the Incan stories, you got the most points I gave away for stories. (with 1 other).
You were also one of the 6 civs that got a roleplay score from. (not the best, that was Germany of course)

If you continue what you did then I will continue to vote for you.

I liked your stories, and I voted for you. But you just didn't have as much as others. Put in more time and you get more votes.

    I am never wrong

To be fair, part of the reason for the high scores is that two nations - Israel and Neandor - created very distinctive 'role-play' persona for themselves, which could have been done by anyone and they deserve the credit for it.

But in general, yes. Stories and diplomacy require interaction and although 'tier 1' are groaning at how densely packed they are, it means there is lots of interaction, and therefore a better breading ground for votes. Its not determinate - the folks still have to put in the effort - but I think its hard to deny its a factor.

If we are lucky, however, this bias will pass. Since soon enough - another month or two - everyone will be presssed up against neighbours, even those in more spacious territory, and thus there will be more opportunity for interaction. Although it will still be the case, I think, that there are simply more people involved in europe/middle east, so nations there have more neighbours, and so I think more people who interact with them (privately or publicly) and so more people who are likely to give them votes.

At the same time, we will start to see the real in-game penalty on the 'tier 1' nations over the next month or so. Up to now, they have probably been able to expand at the rate they would have wished anyway. But now, their expansion is stopped except through very difficult war (particualrly difficult because in many cases its capitals which are the border cities), while others have room to continue expanding.

So my guess is that in this first stage of the game, the lack of space has not hindered tier 1 in game, and has helped them in votes, but as we go on from here, they will be hindered more in game and the vote advantage will ebb away.

I hope so. It was a good idea to try to have this tiers system if it works as intended, but there is always the danger of unintended consequences.

If Russia is uncomfortable about Germany subbing for Mongolia please say but at this stage the Mongols do not see the borders of any other civ.
I'm quite happy that Mongolia survived the barbarians AND have the Pyramids - no fun in having undeveloped barbarian neighbors and no nearby juicy wonder - builders

Now more serious - I am ok with you subbing for Mongolia - they need that hand. But when the original player is expected to be back - is it any soon or you all have to look for a replacement?

If he was, then that explains it. Then it's indeed possible. Too bad that the chariot wasn't finished one turn earlier. Then he could have attacked the strongest axeman and it would have been a done deal. But this should be enough as well.

Barbarian axe fails against Mongolian axe...
It was in slavery! Note no Mongolian Axes yet but Archers.

    Yes! Mongol safe.

The 3.5 Axe died on attack and the Chariot we slaved killed the other Axe and the two barb warriors died.

Mongolia starts from behind now but has Pyramids. I'm happy to keep subbing but no time for stories much - the priority being to expand cities, staying East of The Urals.

If Russia is uncomfortable about Germany subbing for Mongolia please say but at this stage the Mongols do not see the borders of any other civ.
