I'm a bit bitter here, the Turks demanded Ekron, I tried to avoid giving up the city, but in the end their prize for me to keep it was way too heigh, so all I could do was giving up the city. Then I wrote a story about it, and now b/c of that story they refuse the city and ask both the city and the price I can't already pay, and even 100gpt more....

it's ridiculous that me telling my story thread has ic consequences like this.
Then it's better to not write stories at all.

It just leaves me wondering if you should not better have attacked the city at once without all the bla bla.

The Turks were going to attack the city anyway after you refused to give it to them or allow them to destroy it. You were only arguing who to play first in the inevitable war. But this is a whole new development - you came to me asking Russia to negotiate lasting peace between Israel and Turkey AND Russia to forget its hatred and revenge for the Israeli for their betrayal and consider you a friend once again.

The money and the unbreakable peace are condition from Russia. Now I wonder if you really ever wanted to befriend me again now when I see how you simply reject to sacrifice anything real to back your words. It was the same the first time I came to ask you for help - you said "if this, if that, then maybe" and when some time passed and I fulfilled your conditions, you said "Israel is not interested in helping you" The second time I came to you for help centuries later, you rejected to give something real which I was asking for, but promised me to help me in the near future. Then you betrayed me and joined my enemies in the most critical part of the military operation. Beside our allied armies, I lost my trust in you and now you have to rebuild it again. And this aint cheap, nor easy. This is your way to redemption. Russia dont want to see the ancient country of Israel in ruins, but Moskva slezam ne verit.

I cant see any IC reasons why you would not align with Russia, while the Axis cowards left you all alone after using you. On what Israel loyalty to France and Neandor holds? The merciful Catherine offers you way to avoid the just anger of the ones who you betrayed and yet you are stubborn in not accepting it.

This is not the way one leader without a real choice will act. If you think the price is too high, you must try to lower it, if you see what are the concerns of the other parties, you must offer something else to calm them down and make them happy. You just refuse to give something real. To me this shows clearly you are not honest when talking about befriending me.

And that's why it makes no sense to suddenly pull an accepted offer only because of a story post in the story thread about the name change of a city.

As I see it, there was clause when giving the city not to make propaganda of it - talking about murders and rapes. You've could just told the story about Armageddon (which I enjoyed a lot- did not knew from where this name comes) and said that you have come to agreement to give the city to the Turks as a part of a peace deal. Further more, I thought you rejected the deal and you were arguing who to move first, not will there be war or not and you moved anyway changing the situation. That's all.

We all tend to know IC how long is the Israeli memory about the injustices made to them and how they nourish their smoldering hate for those who have hurt them.

Personally I enjoyed OOC your revenge on the Turks a lot - it was a great role-playing. But I think they have learned their lesson and are picky and suspicious about everything you say or do. That they saw a menace in your words is normal.

Well, I have a problem with that, Russia and Turkey have declared war on me, on my other border the Mali seem to prepare for war, I know that the Russians/Turks have tried to approach the Zulu as well. And now my last neighbor, the Arabs, are also going to be controlled by Russia? That is certainly not right.

But I guess that the Russians (#1 civ) fear Israel that much that they really need the Mali, the Zulu AND the Arabs to declare war on Israel as well.
