You might get a point this month
The question of whether modern humans and Neanderthals mated when they encountered each other 40,000 years ago is highly controversial.

          • I can't login either, it hangs on 'connecting to host'. According to civstats, India is still logged in somehow?

            • Problem fixed. Thanks to Germany for the heads up.
You should be able to play again.

Unlike many laying low and hidden, I had the balls to risk my civ.

                  • Russia. It is unreasonable to delay playing so you can see whether we 'agree' to your peace initiative or not. Please play your turn in order. Thank you.

                    • It is further unreasonable to blitzkrieg someone and then, before your victim has a chance to respond, declare that fighting should cease and peace should be negotiated.

This is like sucker punching someone and before they can strike back you say "wait! wait! lets talk about it!"

If a fair peace is to be made (which we all want) then you cannot have pre-conditions or insist that fighting stop (when you have a position of strength) while we agree to terms. The war will proceed at the same time as negotiations.

                      • I'm done with my turn.

Now when I declared war to Neandor too, we need to work out a turn division.

                        • Sorry, but your argument makes no sense to me. Russia is essentially saying ... "Let me know in advance what you are doing this turn so I can decide what to do." This is why we set the turn order. And if there is no reply out of game, then so be it. They have a decision to make. As will we/I when it is our turn to play.

And we will not be sucker-punching anybody before they can strike back. What are you talking about? IF we attack on our turn, then you have the chance to respond as per the turn order. That is why the turn order is set. If we say "wait wait lets talk about it", then you can decide what you want to do then.

There are less than seven hours left on the turn timer, and I have a dinner engagement tonight.

Thank you. So be it. The die is cast.

                            • So my best interpretation based on lead up moves:

                              FIRST: England
SECOND: Ottoman OR Neander (followed by the other)
                              THIRD: Russia
FOURTH: France OR Viking (followed by the other)

                              • Oops, the timer must have gotten messed up, usually a new turn has flipped by now so I logged in. But it was still last turn. Sorry. I didn't move anything. But I won't be able to play again till the morning. Good night all!
