  • Guys. You are spoiling things by giving clues and false clues.

And I'd rather players not urge attacks and analysing the game like this. It will get worse if you persist. It IS a diplo game and every player I have come across has treated it as such and used PYT effectively.

There was no universal effort to knock mz out of the last game "before it was too late" (despite my best efforts ); NOR I now believe should there be such a case in this game.

It is best to remain in quiet paranoid isolation and stop airing thoughts here to buoy up ones nerves!

    • Chill deity, there is nothing wrong with a bit of banter. If its not your thing, don't read it.

We are all conscious that there is a very big spread in score at the top end, what's the harm in saying it? Except maybe if the uber builders have been neglecting military thinking that they are safe until AD 1000 ...

      • Speculation is fun
And so is talking about the game!

And thanks to deity for giving us new food for speculations

              • Sorry. Punto is a Fiat car.

Very old British joke during the Falklands War was that one of our worst newspapers actually put on its' front page 'Kill an Argie - Win a Metro' which was a popular contemporary British motorcar.

You need to be English and as old as I am to get it.

                • *** Not a complaint just a suggestion ***

As someone who can only play about 1 out of every 2 turns I understand that I won't necessarily be in the lead and that's fine with me, my ultimate goal isn't to win but to enjoy myself.

However, I must say the amount of barbarians I have had to deal with is INSANE. It is truly like being at war constantly and I cannot begin to tell you how frustrating it is to be losing precious workers and settlers (!) because of an inability to monitor every move.

I constantly have to deal with invasions of 2-3 barb axes every 3 turns or so, it's nuts (not to mention the barbs had copper before me)!

In future, I don't know if it's possible, but maybe is there a way to avoid this? I don't know, just my 2 cents.

                  Still loving the game though!

                    • Sounds like you need to raise an army and go take out the barbarian city that is likely near your borders

                      • Use them and take their cities. I got myself a couple of sweet little Barbie cities in great sites as well as a Worker for free.

                        They're your friends!

Also, mz had a good tip on this that I never realised before... i.e. obliterate the black by spacing out units to stop the spawning.
