        Server is up. Perhaps there were some connectivity issues during the night somewhere.

          • I wonder why this game has so big "lag". The turns last ~13h. sometimes when I just wait for the turn to finish I refresh PYT and I can see that the game is "losing" time while no one was logged in, but anyway one log in is 2 min max, that wouldnt explain the delay..

            In short: could we switch to even faster turns?

            • Seems like the turns take approx 12h each.
              We can lower the turn timer to 8h, making it effectively 10h per turn.

                I'd like to, but now I see that in the begining it was to be 12h.., still this lag seems bigger than it was in DoC

                  • Checking again we voted on 10h turns and all agreed. (the 12h was just an early suggestion).. So I think we really should cut the timer a bit more. Now an average turn is 12h 15 mins

                        • Why change the time because a few people with ready access to computers all the time want to hurry things up. It is hard enough now to keep the moves going, sometimes I have to do then at 5am and similar times, and then time is expired or nearly expired when I get home from work, resulting in missing turns, please no faster than it was.

                          • You can queue a few turns in advance. Most of us are just teching and building, so there's nothing to do but login and hit enter.

                            • Since there are no huts on the map missing even every second turn shouldnt be a problem.

                              a few tips if for those who did not know yet:

                              -you can queue research by pressing shift and choosing the next tech on the F6 screen
                              -You can queue worker/unit actions by holding the shift key (so it is possible to tell a worker who is currently building a mine to go somewhere and build a farm there after the mine is finished)
                              -you can send units anywhere by pressing 'G'
                              -you can make production queue in the cities by using 'shift' when selecting things.

                                If you can play at 5am, then you should be able to play this same turn either at 0am or at 9am.

                                I can understand the work thing though. Especially if the turn proceeds 5 minues after you left for work, then 10 hours is mostly just too little time finish work and be home again in time.

                                But that should be very rare to happen (turn just switching 5 minutes after you leave).

                                Anyway, I'm fine with going back to 12h turns if that helps you.
