You're right its just a game of course, that's why I didn't go into the shouting and accusations of malice which too often marr things here. But it is one which people invest in over months, so forgive me for raising the question and wanting to get some response. I guess the lack of diplo adds to it for me - I have no idea why the Viking people have suddenly decided out of the blue to invade their neighbours, nor what this war is about, or what you want from it. All I do is suddenly find a monster stack appeared super quick next to a city.

Yes turn order seems to be established now. Of course that doesn't resurrect the unit that was killed because of the double move, but well there will be a lot more bablyonian deaths soon I guess so what is one between new enemies

About missing turns. Yes I don't think it can work to continue on the very short timer when we both need to play in order. RP can you extend it?

Game-wise, I cannot let you build up and become that much stronger, you have already shown that you are aggressive so I must act now, while your troops were occupied in Celtia, albeit briefly. I don't believe you would stop at invading only them, I feel as if I would be next.

Oh and spare me the "we have a peace agreement talk".

Don't be foolish Viking chief. We did have a peace agreement - you swore one with us - and we have never taken a single aggressive action against you. We have even offered you cities, and wrote apologising when a city took some culture from yours recently, though you didn't bother to reply! Other nations (and we both know who) have been dripping lies into your ears so you do their dirty work. Just watch - they are happy for you to fight and be worn down into a stalemate, and lose - they don't care about you, they just want me worn down too while they dance on merrily past.

And the celts never did have an agreement. There was a long standing religious conflict - hence Babylon collapsed and the new Hindustan emerged, with attempts to bring the Hindu heretics into line.

Don't be someone else's fall guy. Don't believe their lies. Think about Vikings future. Babylon has never broken a treaty in its life and has a harsh view of those who do, but this crisis can be reversed. Think about it - where do you think this war will end? How do you want it to end?

I assume that your vile slander is addressed toward the pacifist Sumerian people.

You obliterate the helpless Celtic nation, you steal Sumerian land, you prepare to complete the conquest of half a continent by destroying the Vikings and yet you claim unjust wars against you by the victims of your imperialistic greed.

You tried to tempt Sumeria into wars against friendly nations, records have been kept, so please end the self-righteous rubbish here and now.

Well we admire your gall. The old strategy - people are more likely to swallow a big lie than a small one.

"Pacifist Sumerian people." A lie. Tell that to the Maya's who you have exterminated. Utterly annihilated!

"Obliterated the Celtic people." A lie. Get out more and you will see the Celtic people are far from obliterated. And at the end of the great hindu revolution which saw anarchy over old Babylon and Celtia, yes the hindu shrine came into the possession of the great conclave of true hindus, but the conclave willingly, at our own proposal, gave to the heretic Celts a major city stuffed full of wonders. Your narrative of Babylonian oliteration of the Celts is a nice story, just a shame none of the facts match.

"Stolen Sumarian land". A lie. Hindu forces have not entered a single Sumarian city once in the whole of history. The only conflict between us is because you, supposedly our friend and ally, declared war against us and seized a island from us where not a single Sumarian man had ever lived!

"Preparing to destroying the Vikings" A lie. We have always had strong peace and trade with the Vikings, until they out of the blue, with no warning or purpose, invade us.

Utter, utter falsehoods from first to last. Keep going with your foolish lies my friend, for the more your lies are brought into the light rather than sliming around in the darkness, the more the world will see you for what you are.

We the Great Conclave have never denied that we purified the Hindu shrine and tried to bring true Hinduism to the hindu heretics in Celtia. Nor have we denied that we worried about the power of Egypt on our borders and talked to neighbouring nations about her. (Though once again - Vikings please note - while Rome and the then Babylon were courageous enough to actually stand together, Sumaria just hid in teh shadows, never being willing to come out. How you like to get other to do your dirty work!) That is the sum total of Babylon/Hindustan's wicked evil intent and actions - and we are prepared to be known and judged for it.

We thought you had fallen to the pits when you betrayed your friend and attacked our forces, seizing a city. But no. You continue to descend into the depths of wickedness, for now you manipulate, lie and deceive brave nations like the Vikings - purely for your own purposes - we got on well, no threat to each other, but you spread lies and evil to persuade them to destroy themselves in a pointless war against Hindustan.

Hindustan will suffer greatly. The Viking nation will suffer greatly. And Sumeria the great liar, will sit smugly and watch, while it fills its belly with the blood of the Mayan people.

Sorry folks, I've been a bad sub lately. Are the Mayans even around anymore? I've stopped bothering to play them. I check in on the Celts now and then, but between a week of vacation and a new girlfriend my time and inclination to guide the Celts to an honorable eradication is limited.

Anyone else want to sub?
