Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Ok, bad news folks. Dubhghlas and I tried both the regular RFC that comes with BTS and the RFC-MP version. Both resulted in OOS errors.
When we first played RFC-MP we played for a while and everything worked great. But as soon as we tried to log out and pick a different civ things went OOS. Then we couldn't even pick our original civ again.
It seems Rhye's is a bust. Sorry.
So, the vote also approved another mod (but not Colonization). So now we need to find another mod that is compatible with Pitboss.

After a fair amount of testing on my part tonight, it appears that last night's issues may have had less to do with RFC, and more to do with my cable modem. After a cable modem reset, and some testing, I have been able to access an MP game of RFC, and have played it for several turns, and have been able to log out and back in successfully, without any OOS issues. So it might be worth trying the experiment again.
I playEuropa Universalis II; I dabble in everything else.
I just played the SP version of RFC that comes with BTS and loved it - many changes. Upgrading units far cheaper btw (Warrior to Axe = 40 gold). This improves game play I'd suggest. Brilliant map. I played the Chinese at Monarch level and now the top civ - still going though as not achieved any goals yet
The only thing I don't like is the succession side but Iliked seeing civs born at historical times. I prefer competitive games.
Maybe we could also look at that modpak Capo was putting together?
Or perhaps ozzy could refine the RFC map?

I'm around to do some testing tonight. Hit me up on AIM.

Yea, RFC is awesome. It is definitely important for everyone to play around with it some on your own, there have been plenty of changes. I'm not sure what I could or should do to refine the map. The map is a pretty important part of the game, tinkering with it would throw things out of whack.

I'm available for testing next week, if anyone is interested.

* religion can't be expanded too easily
* land settling can't be expanded beyond historical bases
* easy to build armies and develop allowing easier war opportunity
* The GNP Science/Gold is much more biased to gold; ie you end up around the time of Guilds with 30% science so building Libraries/Unis is less important as modifiers than Markets/Banks because gold is around 70% - because there are so many specials I tended not to build too many cottages which would make a difference of course
* I like the three objectives set for each civ BUT it does force you down certain tech paths - again historical accuracy
PS The game actually crashed once as SP btw

I think we'd have to skip the unique historical victories for our game. Especially since some civs could complete their UHV's before the rest of us are even in the game.

Also:
You can, but it is more difficult.
I think they cause you to destabilize. Question the stability points you get for diplomacy... how are they calculated? Are they disabled in MP?
Some of the mechanics aren't really apparent to me and since lots of players will be playtesting this like crazy it would be much better if the rest of us bums can read up on that one and play a game or two before starting with the diplo game.
Also dosen't anyone want to play a test MP game this week?

I'm free. We just have to figure out how to do it. Our host seems to be awol. I'll PM him again. We definitely need to do some more testing and then get started! Before we lose momentum!
