Over the years Korta Kandu became a beloved leader showing his wisdom and benevolence. Upon Korta Kandu's death, it was decided that each future king would adopt the Korta mantle and carry on the traditions of the first Mali leader.

For many years, Mali's hunting parties roamed the wilderness documenting their journeys in song and drawings. The men found shiny metals that were used to decorate their faces by piercing and sang praises to earth for providing these beauty metals. There seems to be an endless supply lying on the ground near the village.

      New Skills

News have reached Drystan that one of his English scouting parties have encountered the hut people of the south and received as a gift of friendship the knowledge of hunting; a skill which teaches one to pursue wildlife for food.

        Ordigon explored the desert
        He climbed a hill
        There he saw 'others'

For many months a hunting party was gone. The tribe had given up hope that they would return, probably eaten by wild beasts prowling the terrain. However, early one morning the men arrived back at the village with exciting news. After walking through the foothills and a newly found mountain pass, the hunting party came upon a coastal village of not more than a dozen people. They talked and exchanged items, the party giving some of the shiny metals they had picked up before. In exchange for these metals, the coastal people took them on a tour of the area.

The people lived on a great river which took several hours to row across in a boat. on the other side, the hunting party explored the new land. As they walked, the coastal people suddenly stopped and said they could go no further. When asked why, they said "een kaa". Having no idea what this meant, the hunting party carried onward in a different direction and eventually returned to the coastal village. The party exchanged pleasantries once again for the hospitality shown them over the past few days and headed home to tell their tale.

As the great guardians wondered around looking of the next opportune place to settle
their next city. They came across a small village who wished to join the empire and in
exchange they gave two of there best scouts to help in any way possible. The scouts
first headed south past the mountain range that separated the Britannian hunting
grounds from the desert. What would have taken the guardians weeks to do the scouts
where able to do in one day. They came to the borders of another nation. The scouts
quickly turned back to report to the guardians. Yet before they could give a report they
            were attacked by large creatures.

They were able to fend off the creatures and find the guardians. They gave their report
to the guardians and left to find more people.

The guardians talked to each other for some time. “What should we do about this,” said
one. “What do we need to do, they have not made an effort to cross into our territory or
contact us so why do anything at all,” said another. “We will just wait and see what
they do or say for now lets just stay close the this mountain range,” said the last. They
agreed and continued southeast to continue spotting out spots to settle.

We sat around the camp fire, listening to ‘Touch the Cloud’s tales. He told us of crossing over the mountain paths until he came to a valley. And there above him on a mountain ledge was a bear. All the stories about Old Man Above and his fear of his creation, Grizzly, raced through ‘Touch the Cloud’s head.

Here he was facing an angry hungry bear. ‘Touch the Cloud’ said he struck the Sioux defensive stance and prayed to the Sioux spirits and raised his club. The spirits listened. The bear in its haste got entangled in the shrubbery and got distracted and ‘Touch the Cloud’ with a swing of his club stunned the beast and killed him. ‘Touch the Cloud’ though was injured in the fight and needed to rest.

We looked upon ‘Touch the Cloud’ with awe and kept offering him gifts and treats.
I have seen that in any great undertaking it is not enough for a man to depend simply upon himself.

                      God's Sign in the Sky

                      It always remained a mystery.

The facts were clear enough. On returning to Constantinople from his meeting with the Southern People of the Red Cross, Constantine proclaimed to the gathered Byzantine people that, at dawn, as he looked out over the desert, God has given him a sign in the heavens, a burning cross and the words Εν Τουτω Νικα ("by this, overcome"). Constantine then introduced to the people a strange pale-skinned nomad from the desert, tatooed with the sign he had seen in the stars

The nomad began to talk, speaking strange words of how the creator of the world had come and lived among the desert people as a man, proclaimed god’s love for all people, had been killed by the shamen, and yet had returned from the dead.

The people listened with suspicion – How could God becomes a man? Why had God come to the desert people not to them? Their shamen had guided the people for years, were they to turn their back on them? What would the spirits of the great river Marmara, the deserts and the hills do if they abandoned them as this nomad was advocating? But Constantine’s own passion could not be doubted, and he was their leader.

Over the months some questioned Constantine’s account. Had he simply taken this symbol supposedly in the sky, from the banner of the People of the South with their red cross? Was this perhaps just an invention to give his people unity, a sense of identity and common purpose in this dangerous world? Had he gone out to seek a new religion to give glory to Constantinople, to raise it above its mud streets to fulfill his dreams of a city at the heart of the world?

However, the teachings of the nomad soon spread, particularly among the womenfolk and the poor. Constantine established the nomad in a large mud house at the river side. As the years passed, there was no doubt, this new religion – this Christianity – was the religion of the Byzantine people.

                        Arabians Rejoice

The people of Mecca celebrate the founding the worlds great religion Islam. After many years of moving rocks about our people have a purpose. There is as it turns out only one rock. According to one of our wise men, we now need some profit to write a book. We're at a loss to explain either but such is life. We hope we can figure it out.

The city is starting to blossom and expand. And in so doing we have seen across the Red Sea a strange new peoples called Rushians. Our emissaries reported that an initial greeting was returned with vigor.

To our north this last year, a band of people wearing short skirts appeared on a hillside. Our emissary visiting them were told him they were Geeks. He was made welcome but their manners upset him as they were playing harps around a fire scratching their privates. He left without issue during the night while the Geeks slept.

And far to our south a travelling warrior discovering small huts with money, maps and other riches and sees in the distance another civilization across a southern sea. We're told by the hut people they are called Hoemans. We have had no contact with them otherwise.

Our wandering warriors are returning to home as they miss their wives. Their finding is that our land is rich in resources and potential. Now if only are people would spend less time staring at the rock.

While returning from the meeting with the Russians the Guardians receive word of strange
people on the hill near Pendragon yelling out “Pay!” Naturally this was taken as a threat so
the citizens of Britannia yelled back “Leave or Die!” The Guardians quickly ran back to try
and see if this was all just a misunderstanding.

                            The Persians,
the people of the river Mehran
                            Ordigon
                            Scout
                            Village Others

                            Village Others Speak
                            Some others approached Ordigon
                            They waved their arms
                            Village Others: "Glief ur dgy!"
                            Ordigon was puzzled
                            What did they say?
                            So he repeated: "Pay!"
This time he waved his arms
Like the Village Others had done.
                            He pulled the same face
                            as the Village people pulled.
But then the Village People ran
                            Back into their houses
Ordigon thought: "They get something to pay!"

                              Archeology 101 .. continued...

The digs under the old city confirmed many of the theorys of the old archeologists. The English had met the Koreans at the very beginning of civiliastion it self.

But what was less known was the finding of another peoples by the Koreans. To their far north they found signs of another race. A taller breed of people it was noted in the archives. But so much skinnier, basicaly jsut skin and bones. Not well fed nor strong like the Korea Warriors.

The orginal meeting according to the ancient records did not go well as neither race could communicate with the other and so the Koreans left the meeting place and returned to their home lands. The only word they brought back with them was Stinckys or something.

We haven't heard from Omac since He went to conquer the mountain village, He must have failed like the others before him, and even if He is still alive at least He is wise enough not to return in shame....

Meanwhile our warriors continue to scout the land around Delphi, recently they went back to the Black Jungle, this is the place where our people lived before the God, Sha'tur led them to the promised land. The barbarians which attacked our people many occasions are still lurking here, in these forests waiting for the time to strike us...

Gopal, the leader of the warriors, knew this, and carried the order of our shamans to destroy every potential barbarian threat around our land. And we did find them..
First we encountered a few warriors who tried to run away when they saw us. We chased them back to a small camp what seemed to be their home. Gopal ordered us to attack and after a short fight we were victorious. Gopal was suprised.. these barbarians couldnt be the ones the God warns us-they showed almost no resistance... Nevertheless Gopal plundered the village and left it in flames..
Few days later finally we met the true danger. Our scouts found a trace of huge savage beast not animals and definately not humans and they got the scent, chased our scouts back to the rest of us.

Gopal was a skilled and experienced warrior. He knew these beast will attack no matter what so he ordered us to take defensive positions. So they came, and as Gopal predicted the huge beast were at great disadvantage in the jungle and after a long and bloody fight, by the will of the Gods, victory was ours.

Weeks later we spotted an other group of barbarians.. but these were much different from those we have encountered before. They seemed human like us and carried similar weapons as we do. Our scouts said that they also spotted us, so Gopal ordered to take defensive positions again and prepare for their attack.
-"But what if they won't attack?"-I asked
-"They ARE barbarians.. that's what they do.. just wait and see"

((Greetings, 'Touch the cloud' and to your warriors))))
