Tssss, all those false in character accusations against Persia!!!!
Don't anger the Guru!
But seriously, I agree with Britannia*, this is what Russia said:
And most worryingly, despite the peace offer being agreed upon by all parties, the Byzantines had not yet handed the city to Persia.
It's clear that Russia agreed with the peace offer.
So option 1 is the right option.
*Britannia, does that mean that we're both full of bs or am I not full of bs this time

RP if you read the stories of both carefully they both basicaly agreed to the treaty and Russia has now done what he was told he could do by the Byzantines. And you can't go by Persias word because as we all know Persia ic is full of BS and does anything to make themselves look good. I think you are just over reacting alittle and the game should be unpause so the two of them can offically end the war next turn.

Purely Out of my character:
I'm sorry that my story is a bit confusing.
It's just story that I killed my Guru Ahm'Az. I did not intend to not honour the treaty. That's why I immediately offered fur to Byzantine. (that's my only part in the treaty, I think). That way I wanted to show that despite that Ahm'Az is gone and forgotten (who was he again?) Persia will live up to the deal.
I can't speak for Russia.
I'm ok with any of the options. I never had any intention to pull something on Byzantine here. I'm sorry that my story caused this.

Ok, this is the deal: (most probably only a misunderstanding)
- Factually the war between Russia and Byzantium did not end yet
- We all acted like it ended anyway
- Turn timer was back to 12 hours
- Byzantium double moved to be able to play his turn in time (no harm was done)
Then there are some in-game troubles:
- Russia never signed the treaty while it is this treaty that made us all believe that the war was over
- Persia then claims there never was a treaty
Which is all in-game and not a problem of course, BUT:
- Then Russia double moved and used this double move to catch Rhodes
Now did is not an evil cheat from Russia! (read it carefully: it is NOT!)
But it leads to the unwanted situation that there was a double move that harmed Byzantium which would not have been allowed during wartime!
Now we can continue in 3 ways:
option 1: Russia quickly writes a story post in which it accepts the treaty and so does Persia (then Byzantium won't call for a reload)
option 2: We reload back to the beginning of the turn before the current turn to undo Russia's double move
option 3: we reload back to the beginning of the 2nd turn before the current turn to undo all the double moves
Option 1 is the best option b/c it won't change the course of the game, but it can only be done if it fits the stories of Persia and Russia (no pressure on you guys to alter your stories!)
Option 3 is the fairest option to all parties if all stories are indeed what they are
Option 2 is a good way to undo the wrong without going back too far (Byzantium's double move never harmed anyone, but this is only ok if Russia agrees)
So the ball is in the court of Persia and Russia now.
Thanks all in advance for cooperation
Let's find a good solution here.
Robert

The game has been paused to invesigate an ooc-problem. I'm working on it behind the scenes, trying to get a solution asap. If not then we'll follow the game rules to get a solution

I think the free trade stuff should lock out the top 5 civs. this would aid the lower civs .
and i agree onyl wait for two people to hit the advanced levels before making it open. but only if we lock out the top 5 from free trades

simple trade all those vouchers for techs ..Originally posted by Ottoman Empire (DoC) View PostI haven't used any vouchers because I don't know what the best strategy is to use them.
That and also I'm very isolated, only few trading partners.
Any advice would help, I'm in last place...
will improve your civ

Build a galley or at least a fishing boat and go exploring so you can meet more civilizations.Originally posted by Ottoman Empire (DoC) View PostI haven't used any vouchers because I don't know what the best strategy is to use them.

About spening the vouchers: I'd spend those on techs which are more expensive and most usefull-normally those techs that improve your economy-makes you research faster.
It could be a problem if you want a tech but don't have anything to offer for trade-But if you find a friendly civ you may get that tech for your voucher as a gift (not truly a gift since it's your voucher, but the other civ doesn't get anything from this trade)
anyway just support my idea so you may get more vouchers to spend

I've considered this possibility and I think it's not the case.Originally posted by OzzyKP View PostThe trouble though is that by discussing this plan we are incentivizing people to quickly blow their remaining vouchers so they get more.
Why people hasn't used up their vouchers already? It could give them better military or economy now-I think they hold them because they can get better techs later-this would still stand. Why would someone "waste" a voucher just to get one more point, basically let's say 1/20 voucher more per month.
also burning up the vouchers could increase your position so it would reduce these extra points.
I think the system I suggest is balanced in a way that it helps those more who need it most.
