I think all he (Inca) will achieve with his current attitude is that he won't make good friends with anyone, which will probably proove fatal when there is no more unsettled land out there.

I don't have much respect for people who just don't participate for 3 months and then after 3 months, after being asked, claims that he just thought that the others posted too much.Formerly known as "CyberShy"

If we separated the threads that would be okay I guess, but when there is overlap we'd just have to combine them again anyway so its kinda irrelevant really. I think ultimately less players is the only way to effect the posts.

I try to read them all but unless it says Japan or it grabs me from the start I do not read it. Like your post, I don’t read it all unless it says something about Japan if not then I just skip to the parts that your generals are in.

Damn ....
.. this is going to be a difficult month for voting. I keep a note pad beside my keyboard with sort of a 'running tally' to help me decide. This month, each category has more that 3 civs in it, and if I submitted my votes as they currently stand so far, I will be voting for 9 different civs.

Sometimes it's not possible to end your turn in one session. That's not a problem, I think. Just come back a bit later and finish it.
But please don't do not end your turn b/c of in-game reasons.Formerly known as "CyberShy"

Are we talking about making your moves, then not ending your turn as a possible exploit to the 6 hour rule?
If that is the case, I don't see how this could even be an exploit. If the timer runs down and you haven't "ended your turn" then your turn ends in the last second before the timer flips to the next turn.
So, concerning the war with myself and Portugal...
The only way for me to wind up on the "6 hour wait" end of our turns would be if I didn't play my turn in the first 6 hours of a turn, and he played his before I played mine. Otherwise, he will always be second to take his turn.
Maybe I am way off in my understanding of the discussion here... just wanted to make this clear in case...

I have no problem with someon e wanting to use the whole timer so that it is good for them to play when they play. Sometimes it is the reality of this situation. People do have lives outside of this game so it is important to try and allow people to fit this game around their lives. To be honest this game is not really that important in comparison to the rest of our lives.
