I don't thnik that's harsh, since the turns will be 24h in lenght, and even less in the beginning. So it's not like forcing people to be online more than they will need to play the game.

So, what number are we at? Are we still at #2 or have we moved on to #3?____________________________

We've moved to #3
You can keep track by just going to the site I mentioned in the PM.
It says 'done' after the numbers that have picked their civ already.

I would suggest (but why listen to me)
... that each player has 48 hrs max to pick and then that player loses their choice at this time. They pick last. Don't know if there is some way for Cybershy to bypass deadbeats.
As for coordinating a joint game time to play real time ... I had a little success in the past using a shared calendar (google) that I posted several options to play for all the players and eventually we hit a slot where people were available but that was only 8 people and most were in North America. I suspect it will be nearly impossible for this crowd.
For me anytime on the weekend I can make myself avaialble. During the week ... just not possible.WarningU2 Member of CIvilization Players Multiplayer League

If people are willing to stay up 2 hours during the night for once, we can find a spot for sure.
It's only a 1 time thing.
People who don't pick their civ within 24 hours drop to the last place of the list. 24 hours is reasonable, we're going to play a 1 turn / 24 hours gameFormerly known as "CyberShy"
