Seriously though, if someone grabs my civ they are getting NUKED!

I will start on the map as soon as I get set up in my new house.

Oh yeah, voting...

NO double civs
NO unrestricted leaders
NO mods (in retrospect it makes more sense not to complicate this game any further)
YES to anon

I also vote for "new/old world" setup (ie. some civs will not meet until compass)

Btw, blackdragon is most interested. His computer is toast and will be getting a new one shortly. We have been kicked off the internet at work (time for me to find a new job ) so he hasn't been able to post.

I don't know how others feel about this, but I think at least posting SOMETHING in the story thread from time to time is important.

I would hate a game where only 20% - 40% of the players bother with the story part. With this many players, many of which are new to the format, this is a real concern.

You know, it would be cool to see if there is a time slot for just an hour or so per week where we ALL get together and play an hour only. This would get the chemistry going between the civ leaders and speed up the boss.

Not likely with 18+ players from around the world. If we could get this to happen one time for the opening moves that would be worth moving heaven and earth, but alas I don't see it happening even once.


PS: HOTW12 still needs a sub for the upcomming session to be played this Saturday night at midnight EST. This would be a great oppertunity to experience diplo before diving into this pittboss game. Carpathia is counting on YOU! If interested, post here.

Nope. We need a neutral third party (19th party?) to collect the civ requests.

Idea : Pinchak collects the requests, what would make him the most informed player. If he seems to know just to much and seems to take advantage of it, we nuke him all together !

Well if it was going to be one of us, it definitely shouldn't be the person making the map. Best though to get someone not in the game.
