  • The newly appointed prime minister read all the foreign classified mail. This is shocking indeed. No one can be trusted! Ottomans supply the ever so powerful Hollanders with the latest weaponry making them only more dangerous. I wonder what they got in return. Latest intelligence supplied from foreign friends shows that they have even been given access to oil on New Holland. It was a well know fact that Holland had no oil in its territories. They seem to have some offshore capabilities but no one on Terra is even close to starting to invest in such technologies. It is clear to the Inca that the Ottomans have been helping that nation since the begging of time. We still remember the harsh tone and actions which the Ottomans used against our nation, closed borders and cut all trade from which we suffered much. Now they offer to sell us a city full of Incan citizens. Our people are not for sale and we would not allow the Ottomans to treat them like that. We recommend that you have local elections, so the people can choice their own destiny. Inca will not allow for some far away government to dictate the lives of these people and especially Incan. We will observe this matter closely, be warn though if you sale this city to a foreign country before its people can vote on their future Inca will be very displeased and appropriate actions will follow.

        • After reading what Mongolia really thinks of our country, Inca has decided to suspend all previous deals and private deals with this nation. We can not continue to work with someone who dislikes us. Thus we will not respond to you latest secret communiqué, we advice you to seek others means of achieving your goals. Inca will not participate!!!

And if the above is true does that mean France can in turn reveal the number of Ottoman or Dutch destroyers? Shame be on you sirs.
You must have used a spy to obtain this information - it is from a private discussion between Dirk and Clovis.

It must have been the French listening at the windows all this time!

Whilst understanding The Incan's being upset, it is important to boildown the facts:

              * all nations have 10 trade vouchers to use as smartly as they may - Hollande is certain all nations worked out their best deals. However, note that Hollande is in receipt of far less techs than most nations because of our desire to promulgate peace. NB Hollande now only has one tech to trade plus one tech owing to the Ottomans.

              * transparently, the Dutch discovered Oil in New Hollande and did a deal with the Ottomans - we see all manner of trades between all nations the precise details of which are not disclosed by others. Suffice to say the Dutch deal fairly with all traders, particularly close friends. Both the Dutch and the Ottomans got a strategic advantage from this deal.

              * We are concerned that you see us as dangerous, particularly given our track record of peace. Also, The Inca have the same military capabilities as the Dutch.

Dirk seeks talks with the Inca in light of recent developments.

Maybe we rushed with this conclusion, what we wanted to say is that we are disappointed to see the Ottomans give such a powerful technology to an already powerful country, thus disturbing the balance of power once again on terra.

Understood. It's unbalancing in one sense but re-balancing in the sense that the Ottomans also receive a powerfull tech in return.

                    • Address to the World

                      "Free peoples of the world!

I would like to in forem you that the actions of some of your leaders are against peace. They see it as a game of world dominance and bring down the leader - such is the immaturity and folly of this kind.

You are all in peril. NOT from Hollande. NOT from Inca and NOT from Mongolia even. You are in peril of the actions of your own leaders!

We have seen them gossiping here, secret meetinmgs there. They are all over the place with discussions on war strategy and how to bring Hollande down.

Listen to your hearts free people. And those who are not so free I hope you receive this message and have a moment to reflect on the future of the planet.

Do you want a world where old fashioned aggressors continuously attack the free?

If ytou allow the world to prosper and follow the examples of the Inca, the Ottomans and the Dutch you will see a much better world.

Already some of these secretive leaders already talk of prophetic visions and an orange world!

These are the words of losers who can not adjust to a changing world. They are hurt and proud but the big danger is that they think if theyu can't dominate the world through force and threats then no one else can dominate through positive strategies of free market and democracy. They will prefer to destroy a world if they can not control it.

However, I would like to offer an olive branch if that is possible."

Dirk Ginkel, speaking in Rotterdam to an assembly of world representatives.

                          • Public declaration from the Peoples Socialist Confederacy of Mongolia.

Following repeated affronts to our sovereignity, our honor and our borders, the Mongol Nation has conceded that we can no longer stand idly by while nations grab at the most valuable resources of the Confederacy. Due to Dutch militancy on our northern border, the people of Turfan have been near starvation for several months. In addition, Ottoman scum has armed greatly and seized a coal mine that has otherwise been Mongolian for centuries.

We see no other recourse than to retake our lands. We have launched an expeditionary force to seize the Turkish military arms productions facility where thousands of Infantrymen have been trained. We see ourselves under a righteous imperative of self-preservation. If the capitalist nations of the world seek to enforce such infringement, there can be only one response! Mongolia must defend its integrity as a nation.

Therefore, I have formally declared war on the Ottoman Empires Old World cities, as they are a means to, and I quote from the Prime Minister of Ottoman: "contain Mongolia", and thereby destroy our grand socialist experiment. Despite the evil plot by this capitalist nations, and others, our forces have won numerous skirmishes and are currently reasserting control over our original borders.

Furthermore we wish to condemn Holland's support of Ottoman, our scout zeppelins have seen Dutch advanced weaponry under Turkish flag. Let it be known that the origin of weapons in the hands of our enemies is irrelevant, we will destroy these weapons of attack, armored vehicles designed specifically for city assault and any other weapon supplied to our enemies.

                            Glory to the People's Revolution!

On our enemies' frontier I stand
behind me my brothers march strong
A thousand boots drumming the ground
                              Steeltipped in sunrise they shine.

The line of border I cross in pride
all our nation charging us forth
through all the distance still I sense
the strength of home spur us on.

The thundering hammers' beat I feel
of workshops and steelmills it rings
roar red flame in coalfired power
                              trebling the mountains to dust.

Wind carry vigor of shipyard's noise
metal through mettle shapes are born
                              screaming infants smashing waves
                              conquering the endless blue.

War be our glory never we yield
force and courage will break our foe
with song and cheer to fight we ride
                              shoulders aligned, side by side.

                              • Return from Exile

Mansa Mari stood at the front of the French Frigate Le Henry V , with the sun setting behind him. In the growing twilight, the King of the Mali could see the outline of his homeland, and the shapes of the buildings which formed the harbor of New Walata.

He remembered, with great bitterness, how he had been forced to flee for his life from that self-same harbor more than 20 years before. Communist Radicals, clearly stirred up by the Mongols, had used their newly granted free speech to demand his abdication. He naturally refused, and civil war had erupted. The coup-plotters though, clearly armed with advanced weapons from Mongolia, had won the day and-with talk of execution being bandied about-Mansa Mari and his closest followers had used his French contacts to arrange a ship out of Mali.

The next two decades the king spent in exile in the French Colonies. There, he oversaw the building and development of the town of Dijon. Yet never did he forget his long-lost kingdom, or his dear daughter-Sheba-who was now the prisoner of the Government which headed up the new "Republic" of Mali.

Yet now, with old age creeping in, the King heard news from home which heartened him greatly. Apparently, the leaders of the "Proletariat Revolution", as they liked to call themselves, had fallen to infighting, and new brush-fire wars were apparently erupting every other week.

However, the news was tinged with great tragedy, as he also heard how gangs of Malinese Communists-sprinkled with immigrant labourers from America and Carpathia-were going about with crude bladed weapons, executing Royalists and anyone deemed disloyal to whatever faction was in power at any given time.

Mansa Mari realised he had no time to lose. He quickly spoke to the Governor of Dijon, now in residence at the Versailles Palace, telling him of the plight of the Malinese people. The French Governor was more than happy to give Mari his aid, and ordered a fully outfitted warship to be sent to Malinese waters immediately.

So it was that, after two decades away, the rightful King of Mali was about to return home. Messages had been sent ahead, telling his supporters of his impending arrival.

Under cover of darkness, the French Frigate quietly pulled into the harbor. There he was greeted warmly by the inhabitants-as New Walata had long been a haven for the Royalist cause.

French Musketeers disembarked from the Frigate, and the King noticed that the Royal Malinese Guard-the greatest knights in the kingdom-had also come to meet him.

Deep into the night, the King plotted the next move with his military advisors. He was assured that other Guardsmen, as well as Knights from outside the Royal Household, were already gathering-just awaiting the word. So it was clear what must be done next-Mali had to be cleansed of this Red Scourge.

The next morning dawned, clear and bright, and Mansa Mari took up position at the head of the Royal Guard. From New Walata, they charged out to Kumbi Saleh. There they caught the Revolutionaries totally off-guard. SO busy were they fighting each other, that they didn't even have enough time to organize a mutual defense. In spite of their superior weapons, they were quickly swept aside and either captured or killed. Soon, all of the city was firmly under the King's rule.

Over the next 24 hours, sporadic uprisings in favour of the king turned into full scale revolt. The "revolutionaries" soon had their hands full just keeping the populace in line, and this made it easy for the King and his followers to take down the defenses of Timbuktu, and soon all the rebel leaders were captured and imprisoned-with their co-conspirators fleeing back to wherever they originally came from.

With news of the fall of Timbuktu to the Royalists, the rest of the Empire quickly fell back into line, with most of the coup plotters giving themselves up quietly, whilst the remainder were either killed, captured or fled to neighbouring countries.

With the Empire firmly back in his hands, King Mansa Mari now plotted his next step forward-REVENGE!
