Wasn't that post made after his other post concerning anonymous posting and play?

Edit: I checked, it is. Good meta posting on Capo's part.

Modern man calls walking more quickly in the same direction down the same road “change.”
The world, in the last three hundred years, has not changed except in that sense.
The simple suggestion of a true change scandalizes and terrifies modern man. -Nicolás Gómez Dávila

This does not mean I am for anonymous play at all.

I want to know which country deity is!

A note, passed to Caesar, by a supporter of senator Heraclites, while presiding over the council:

                      To the augustus Caesar

As you well know my group advocates societal reform, social justice and active international policy. That is what I mean by half-measures. The bureaucrats and bankers who apparently run our country are clear examples of what we oppose. Democracy (or perhaps Representation for the time being),emancipation, ect. We feel especially strongly on free religion and even more so on state property. We are patriots, who believe that It is Rome’s duty to spread its values, the “civics”, (if you excuse the Byzantine term) my group advocates and to play a proactive role in world affairs.

We are above all these things, progressives, believers in technology and science. We are dismayed by Rome’s current technological status. We must devote more funds to research, if we have to bully other nations to gain the funds, so be it. We must keep Rome strong. This goal does not exclude cooperation and internationalist feelings, since it is our belief that Rome is destined to bring prosperity to all mankind via its benevolent influence. We have quite a few strong supporters of a friendship with Ethiopia and quite a few people who believe that our relationships with the Incas deserve, shall we say, “re-evaluating”. There is mild support for a free trade zone with the Portuguese, I happen to agree for pragmatic reasons. Some dreamers are even imaging a Romanic Union of sorts, which would certainly enhance our influence in world affairs.

My plans for the near future depend greatly on your public response concerning the policies, I once again, intend to state clearly and publicly. Some of the more radical elements in my group say we should abandon the system, that what we should strive for revolutionary activity, but I believe legal means are far from exhausted. If my pending resignation encourages policy changes, I will be wholly content. Who knows maybe I’ll reapply for a third term on the senate floor or some other office in government. I write this note minutes before my speech, It will be delivered to you immediately after the speech, if all proceeds as planned.

                      Senator Heraclitus

Note: I unlike some other people am quite pleased that no generals have decided to join the discussion.

occ: No prob I rather enjoy role-playing, it was great fun. It would be entertaining for you to namedrop my little former senator in a post or two in the HOTW story thread.

I am Beta's twin brother. We were separated at birth. I was raised by wolves, and he was raised by some silly a$$ liberals in Canada

I will spectate right now, I have a wife and three teenagers, commiting to a one day a week multiplayer session isn't a luxury I can enjoy at this point.

You missed the point about the doctor dropping you on your head first. Then the wolves got you.

It explains a lot of things about con.
