Martin van Buren declares Christianity a corrupted vision of Islam

Official declaration by Martin van Buren, Chief of the United Villages of America:

I, Martin van Buren, declare that there is only one God, Allah, and Muhammed is his prophet.
All listen to Muhammed while he travels through Earth.

All civilizations on earth are called upon to embrace Islam and depart from the Christian corruption of the true faith.

There is only one God, not three.
Muhammed is the last prophet, no other will come and none is more important then him.
We can only trust his sayings and his revelations.
Discard all others, and find true peace and love.

From now on The UVA will be an Islamitic Nation and will be named: United Islamitic Villages of America
The UIVA will share all it's knowledge and surplus resources with all Islamitic nations.

King João (the first) of the II line had disappeared in some say a parallel universe. A great English orator of the time said "To be three or to be one three".

Elizabeth was reportedly 'missing' in Northern England and many believed that love had enveloped them and their judgement.

With Portugal rudderless and in a state of multiple revolutions the youngest nephew, João rushed home to Lisbon via his now much trodden route through America - a path much used by emmigrant Portuguesers to the West Indies Isles. In this travel back home he discovered the new Islamic ways of the Americans and was much influenced by that.

He finally arrived in Lisbon a new man.

He discussed matters of state with his mother's brother's wife's sister's husband and it soon became apparent that they were both influenced by two totally different religions. Portugal would be inherited by one of these men and the powerplay in the years ahead would dictate the future of Portugal.

For João, the nephew, leaned towards America; but João, the mother's brother's wife's sister's husband of João the nephew leaned towards Ethiopia and the Confucionist religion.

With a massive Russian troop build up on the southern border and a growing power in Germany, this was't a time for Portugal to be rudderless, but rudderless she was in this year 280 (AD was struck from their vocabulary - being the only agreement between these two powerrful men).

Death of King Boris I Bearslayer

After many decades, centuries even some would claim it seemed, King Boris I Bearslayer passed away. He left behind a nation of strong and proud people. Russia had the strongest soldiers in the world. None could compete.

But the country faced many challenges still. The crowdedness and the lack of good farmland became evermore clear to the administrators and royalty of the Kingdom. Yet no longer could they look to King Boris I Bearslayer for guidance. One of his grandchildren would have to take the throne. But that was for them to decide. The King had died before his time it seemed for he had not had the time to pick an heir, and so the throne pretenders would have to decide between them who would be Russia's next leader. Boris left one guiding line however, whichever of the princes could secure Russia new lands would surely prove the most viable King. And so the Princes of Russia looked out across their borders in every direction, where could new lands be found? Across the sea as rumours had it? Or perhaps closer to home?
The princes would have to find out on their own. God be with them. And the first King of Russia would ever look upon his people to see how they fared.

The German Republic experienced a shift of religious experience in the latest years. Previously religion had been largely a regional effect, with some states embracing it and others not. Islam became the first religion to spread across all the member states of the German Republic, and was recognized as the state religion by the German Council. This religion, along with changes abroad, changed the attitudes of many German voting states. Germany had focused largely on trade and development over the years, while Russia and Portugal now stood with impressive armies on each others boarders. While the warriors of Germany were considered capable and well equipped, they were lacking in numbers. A new religious militant philosophy combined with a strange new weapon from afar, gunpowder, has inspired voting states to equip new armies with these powerful weapons in ensure the safety of their still rich and growing trade routes.

Hey don't blame me. The last two games have been really dodgy due to connection issues. Plus, I have an ongoing storyline that hasn't yet come to fruition (& I don't want to spoil the suprise!)

OOC: Aussie, I'm like you. When the game slows down and we only do a few turns a week, and tech issues over shadow that, story telling is much harder.

It's ok with me if you boss us around, as long as you give us a good salary

There are some tech difficulties based on the new patch First we couldn't load the game, later it went OOS every 10 turns

                          • hey ozzy, you're playing in the next one right? let's aim for that to be the greatest diplogame in history and show these non-posters how do it

(we could also start interfering in this game maybe I should create a separate fraction of russians based in the military and other powerful groups who want to liven things up alittle. just so that mr.linc will have to do some fire-extinguishing to settle people's worries about the Russian loose cannons...)

                              • Martin van Buren preaches Islam
Martin van Buren, both Chief of the United Islamitic Villages of America and prophet of Islam, was responsible all by himself for the spreading of Islam.

He served Muhammed, and took his words to all of America and the surrounding nations. One day a group of christians didn't want to convert to Islam, they even refused to listen to the words of Muhammed, spoken by Martin van Buren. Martin grabbed his sword and killed all 149 citizen of the small village by himself, without getting harmed in any way.

Another day Martin van Buren was walking through the deserts between Portugal and America, without any water. Things looked pretty bad for the American leader when an angel of Allah appeared in the sky and trowed a river of water over Martin.

When Martin almost drowned another angel came who pulled him out of the water, and spoke the following words: "Sometimes you lack something and something you may drown by something you don't lack anymore. Find ballance of the Americans, and Allah will give you peace"

Then Martin returned to Jefferson and continued reigning his empire, growing older but not aging at all. It was clear that the grace of Allah was over him. Soon all people on earth would serve Allah.
