It was a great assumption when you hit my first city.
Most of my cities were just finishing up their first cats, and had just started building the main wave of Eles that I needed. But thanks to the heavy hand of the whip...

What threw us was the message that said you retired. Normally on a drop the machine will time out and we'll get the vote screen eventually. So we naturally assumed you had retired and didn't keep an open eye out for you like we normally would. Your not being able to rejoin due to game being full was the strange part since it didn't remove your civ. You civ was designated as an AI civ so the game knew you were gone.

I don't have a save from that point.

What type of connection do you have since it always shows you with a slow connect.

DD I don't see what we could do to look into it? I assumed you have a firewall conflict with someone and that caused the drop. Routers have all sorts of dumb conflicts

No idea why it thought it was full, unless Rah didn't select Takeover AI ... did we have anyone else drop?

BTW, I did load an autosave ... the game shows DD's slot as "closed" (Elizabeth), and Takeover AI is selected (as normal). Odd. The game thinks you retired, DD, so either you accidentally retired somehow (maybe ctrl-alt-r retires or something weird like that?) or something odd happened in the net.

No hardfeelings - after you told me what happened I would have done the same. I am just wondering why it said I retired, or (more likely even though I can't figure out how) how I retired without knowing it or meaning to.

again, no hard feelings - I was just curious if you could prove whether I did something stupid or there was a bug in the game. And if I did retire unintentionally, what I did so that I don't do it again.

High Speed thru WOW. It's a cable TV, Telephone and internet bundled package and I will admit it is not always the most reliable but, that is why I assumed I dropped and was surprised that it said retired on your end. BTW my entire internet went down at the same time as the drop and I had to reset the box to get back on.
