Interesting but I'm not too keen on changing things at this stage. Just use the game mechanics.

Let me know what Frank's status is. I do not want to steal his work from him.

He might be PO'ed about my backing off and handing Olly over ... but the English invaded with about three times my total force ... with a nearly equal amount waiting in England as reserves.

Best result I could see was losing one city and suing for peace ... worst would have been losing three or more cities and having my army completely trashed in the process.

I think Frank seriously underestimated what he was facing. He can chalk it up to my cowardice if he wishes ... he has enough modern units to resume hostilities if he insists ( I dumped the herd of low experience longbowmen ... useless and a drag on the economy ... cheaper to replace than upgrade ).

I am really sorry to kbarrett for his first turn being what it was. But I had built up for that attack for some time and only put it off until this session to do some posting in the forum to set the stage. I couldnt hold off for one more session just because Frank bailed and there was no guarantee he would be back next session anyways.

kbarrett, I wouldnt worry too much about what Frank thinks about what happened. The loss of his army outside of Cori happened in one stack attack. Nothing could have been done by anybody to change that. And all anybody would have to do is check the save to see you did the only thing you could do given the situation.

but it may be not so wise to play civ from 00:30 am till 04:00 am.

But since it's never really wise to play civ from 00:30am till 04:00am I may just play, just because being wise is boring. (that's the only unwise moment I have in the week, the rest of my life is boring) (do I talk much when I'm sick?)

Anyway, I really want to play, so I'll most probably play, but maybe I'll totally collapse and can't play. And maybe my wife ties me on my bed because she doesn't want me to play when I'm ill, and I may be to weak to beat her and break her ties, just because I'm ill, you know.

Thus, if I won't be here, you know what's going on!
You can all post your pity in the replies below! That doesn't help anything but gives +1's to you, and that appears to be most important on poly!

Anyway, does this long boring long post count as a story post? I really should there are so much letters in it!
