I'm surprised no-one has put the following idea forward as a rule: TRUST.

Trust is the rule that's behind every rule we discussed above so far. We need TRUST for PRETT, TORT, TORTO and TORaCTT.

Why not just use it on it's own. Trust people to be able to decide what is excessive when the time comes.

because that means that everybody trades all techs to the max and all civs will be equally advanced, which makes the game less interesting.

Unless you trust people to keep the trading down to believable levels.

Why would any player keep it down if it'll benefit him if he doesn't keep it down? And how can I be sure that I'm not keeping it more down then other players, who take it down as well, but just not as much as I do.

ok. now that we seem to have the tech trading question down and settled. what about the warlord emergence rate?

I have read several posts saying that it is skewed on marathon speed occurring far to seldom. this can apparently be changed quite simply, for SP, not sure about MP, but if we ask the brains I'm sure they have a solution for us before game start.

apparently theres a rate which in marathon games is multiplied by 3. as I have yet to receive warlords I dont know what marathon games are like, but the suggestion I read was that the rate should be 1.5 that of normal games. or perhaps we should have it at 2 times normal.

vote? 1.5, 2 or 3 (standard, but few appearances)

i will abstain from this vote as i dont have a clue what a warlord is or does due to my lack of playing a game that one appears in.

I vote we play Warlords as is, out of the box. I haven't got a feel for it yet.

I think a new patch may be out before we start the game which solves this issue anyway.
