                Build fast

I have found that against many of the early rushers if I build fast (esp. quick library and academy) I can get to construction and feudalism by the time they have their stack going. The is no ancient era stack that a bunch of cats and longbows can't clean up. The best part is both units are resource free, so if they pillage away your infrastructure you can still fight your way out.

Especially if you build one or two cities and mass archers to fend them off while working through the tech tree. Remember, three cats will take 6 enemy units down to half strenght (and you might get lucky and get a win or withdrawl), and then have enough longbows around to clean up the scraps.

It also seems to me that cats have a much higher withdrawl rate if attacking out of a city. . is this true?

Also if you mouse over enemy land it will tell you who it belongs to, even if the romans are yellow this game . .
