Aussie Group MP Game.

I'm at work now so will post maybe more later but I've had a very stressfull week in other quarters and I should have been a bit more diplomatic in how I handled this.

I stick by the guts of what I said but will propose a few guidelines for the future and I'd lilke to make a peace gesture.

I will play with Mike sometimes if he wants - don't like seeing our options cut too much. We all have different attitudes and mine blew out on Sunday for other reasons (looking back).

In a calmer frame of mind I can see all our points so guidelines/rules are essential... tbc

Ok, a few guidelines to suggest:

Restarts?

Not needed. I think we can get a bit precious about this.

Maps?

If we play with around 7/8 players I really think the Huge Balanced Terra map should give no one any cause for restarts and keep the game interesting for the long term.

Earliest war?

2000BC - just to avoid stupid early kills. After that I guess anything goes.

If someone doesn't show?

We vote on playing. Need all present players to agree on continuing. If so the missing player/s go AI. If it's prior to 2000BC, you can't touch them. No negotiating with AI except to ensure peace. Human players NOT to attack the missing player/s AI before 500AD. After 500AD anything goes. If you don't show and all players agree to play on then human AI's can get done.

3 people are absent for all or part of this Sunday's session, so it cannot be played this week, definitely will be on next Sunday though.
Tomorrow (Sat) there is a possibility that I can play for 2 -3 hours in the mid afternoon, but do not rely on it, play a game without me if I am not present.

So if the diplo overlaps 'normal' Aussie time you will dip out of the diplo?

We each have to make a decision if that is the case (but unlikely to overlap)

We all agreed in game to continue it next week (missing this weekend).

Yes if diplo overlaps with the aussie game i won't play the diplo, i've been playing the aussie group now for more then 8 months, so thats my priority. Diplo comes 2nd, but 99% sure that the games won't overlap though.
