At this point (1800AD) I am sure that I am going to lose. However, things are getting pretty interesting despite that. Defensive packs are sprouting up between different nations,(i'm allied with Cyrus and Americans, currently the 1st and third most powerful). Am at about 80% science now, but trailing 5 techs and most. My orignial coloneis are secure, but there is now a patch work of other cities around. I hope to absorb some of the close ones culturally."...awkwardly and shyly. A bit of smart researching and tech trading has put me back into the think of things, I'm now only 2 techs behind the leaders, and ahead of many of puny ones.

France Destroyed! More Wars!
The weak are desperate...and their response is to declare war on the powerful. And to make things worse, all the powerful nations are allied:

sometimes it can be benefitial for two cultures to be close to each other...
can't it?
can't we all just get along? To us, it is the BEAST.Comment
