    Hi nbarclay,

So far, I've been playing with 11 civs. I haven't tried the Archipelago map yet. I've used Balanced, Continents, Lakes and Terra (with sea level and climate set to Random) without problem. My assumption regarding the Highlands map was that the lack of sea tiles was what made it too much for my system to handle (assuming that sea tiles take less processing power than varied land terrain). That may be totally off base. For my next game, I may use another all-land map like Great Plains and see what happens,

For what it's worth, I'm using Win2K (patched to Sp4). I'm at work right now, so I'm not sure of the video drivers version, but they would be recently updated though probably not the latest version.

Definitely small! Any smaller than small and you get weird effects from the size, but any larger and my laptop can't handle it

I have to say I love the Huge Epic Terras , but a standard sized map seems better for learning purposes. You know, less time needed to finish the game and post a report, and more people actually able to play the game to the end (or can your PC handle a 900 MB process?)...
          Seriously. Kung freaking fu.

My computer being what it is, I'd like to stick with standard size maps.

If that's the case, this poll should have been closed quite a while back.

Well, look at the dates of the posts: apart from the 3 last, all of them were made before AU 100-A...
