Good to know. I ended up playing the game I initially started just to test your pop-ups all the way to the end... Which is why I need to start a new one. Addictive little thing this CivIV!

I'm going to be seeing if I can add an ingame notepad over the next few days. I havent had much experience with python in the past but have done a fair bit of other programming/scripting including XML in the past so I'll see how I go.
I'm hoping to take it beyond simple 'notepad' though in that it'll be almost a Journal type system, when you open it it automatically records the year for your entry so that when you're reading through it later its easier.
Later on I hope to even add such functions as having it auto record significant events eg war declared, wonders started/built and whatnot incase you forget to enter them in. But the basics first and then fancy stuff later.

I spent a while playing with the idea of a notepad this afternoon, to much frustration. The American Revolution mod uses "pickle" to save per-unit data, and it's also used in saving/loading games, but the CivPython reference has no documentation for pickle, and I'm having a hard time initializing it properly so that it doesn't die hard.
We're also limited in widget choice, I think. I haven't yet found a text box; the closest I can come is entering one line of text at a time using an EditBox.

A little more comparability perhaps, with the ability to easily read throught the whole summary without the need to be searching in several threads with multiple pages for the rest of the report.Proud member of the PNY Brigade
