Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Basically, what I've found out (not scientific by any stretch):
Furious: I'm going to attack you! Whenever!
Annoyed: I'm going to get ready and attack you!
Cautious: I'm going to attack you if I see an advantage.
Pleased: I'm going to attack you if I feel you're weak.
Friendly: I won't attack you but I'll let others through so they can.
For the psycos, read up one line.
And if it's Alexander, it doesn't matter what the relations are, he's coming for you next turn. Count on it.
ETA: I really should update that sig line.

Reason: Just noticed the old, old sig line...
I playEuropa Universalis II; I dabble in everything else.
good too know, just a quick question tho, how do you know? did you do a test on that? it makes sense that they would, but good to know.
It's in the XML. The amount every unit/building adds to the power graph is in there. It's barracks/drydock/castle/walls/factory/power plants that add to power I believe, but the amount isn't much. Different units are worth different amounts as well. One infantry is worth a couple barracks I think. With knowing the numbers you can actually look at your own power graph to get your total, then compare it to another AI, allow for buildings, and then come up with a fairly close estimate of how many units they have.
I'm sure if I did the digging, I could find out the answer, but it's easier to ask.
Do the wall and castle power bonuses ever expire? Or would an AI with bombers still view them as a deterrent.
Also do other defensive structures give a bonus? Air raid shelters and such?
I couldn't tell you but I do remember that the bonus buildings provide is minimal. In virtually all cases you're better off having units as a deterrent.
Wouldn't it just be easier to look up the demos for army size

the power graph will tell you what you need to know, maybe not what types of units but overall strength and you could guess-ta-mate what techs they had by viewing the techs page and view their power and look at how much gold per turn they making and what their bankroll is so if you can see if they are upgrading ect ect ect. i dont need espionage to know much of what i find out by doing those things, espionage helps by knowing exactly what they have provided you've got the esp points required.
Actually, my target usually selects itself and how powerful they are isn't included in the equation. It's dangerous to be my neighbor and even more dangerous to DOW me.
