  • Can we get a patch that puts Palin under Quayle?

It appears he was a intellectual giant in comparison.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

Only if we can get a patch that adds Obama and makes any civ that uses him a failed Communist state.

Someone has Bush in a mod, use that instead.

That measure doesn't come 'til you finish, retire or win (or lose). So this proposal is not possible. However, if Bush or Obama were IN the game, you could give them a penalty for not being in State Property. As it is, Bush has authorized, with the help of Congress including both current candidates, the buying by the state of pieces of the banks getting loans -- Government-owned properties being a principle of the Socialists. Obama does not seem to think much of Free Enterprise, so he could have the same penalties. Of course, McCain needs to be in Police State if he is in the game, since he says he won't let anyone keep him from doing what he needs to do in his first term.

Thanks for this thread. I've missed Apolyton's trademark incoherent, hypocritical left-wing rambling in the forums that are ostensibly dedicated to games.

Just like I've missed the right-wing's trademark angry, psychopathic vitrol whenever they catch a whiff of a thought that isn't in lockstep with their own dogma.

And I thought about putting this in the OTF, but it was a request for CivIV.

Always pleased to oblige. Gives you a chance to spit out your bile, instead of just ignoring the thread.

As to the topic, I have wondered why the list does not include Mussolini near the bottom. He is surely an all-time loser in terms of outcome -- even if "the trains ran on time." (A study in the late '90s indicated that the railroads had less strikes, but that otherwise the train schedule was fulfilled by about the same percentage before and after Mussolini assumed power. In other words, the phrase is just a political slogan, not an actual fact.)

I apologize in advance, but I just have to say: for the viewer outside US, the whole electorial system seems so broken. Having said that, I just hope, like ev'ryone of the barbarians outside Pax Americana, that Obama wins the s*** out of it.

But if McCaine pull it off, well, he does seem OK too.

EDIT: Cool, I got censored. S***!

I read in a Swedish paper today, that there might be a Palin/McCain split (due to recent issues of non-support from Palin for McCain policy) and they said that Palin has taken her eyes off the VP2008 and is aiming for P2012... I laughed so loud that the whole bus I was riding on turned around asking what all the commotion was about....

quayle had actually been VP (and was already out of office) when Civ4 released. Palin is only a candidate. So you guys are just trolling.

                          Have a nice day
