I've only played Rhye's a few times but I liked what I've seen. I would actually like to see the stability concept used in an hypothetical Civ V but with several major tweaks. The main issue I have with stability in the current version of RFC is that it's really difficult to know if you are improving or worsening stability and you have no idea your are making the wrong decisions until your stability drops a level and your empire crumbles.

I have only tried to get UHVs so far. Next time I play I think I might take an early Civ like Egypt or India and try to play it as a normal Civ game (ie try to get an cultural, space race victory or diplomatic victory. Conquest or Domination would likely be impossible in RFC).

maybe you should try it , .... its easy to win if you play the game with a bit of thinking

I won't because I feel playing RFC to get a UHV is like playing a puzzle, not a civ game, and that victories other than UHVs are pointless in this mod. Trying to find a strategy that fits some criteria I deem arbitrary just doesn't appeal to me.

Well, I tried it again and keep the same impression that it's a puzzle game more than a Civ game.

I tried it for the first time inspired by this thread. It was fun, though it was annoying the first time a new civ appeared beside me and I had to give up a couple of cities or have a war against a civ with a pre-built army that some of my troops would join.

Will download the latest version and try for a few more UHVs. Would like there to be a version on a smaller map (maybe a europe one) as I have to wait up to 30 seconds between turns in the end game. My pc's not great but it's not terrible either!

It is a more of a puzzle game thn normal CIV but is a refreshing change which is occasionally needed.
