Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I do, but I have not seen many discussions about it on Apolyton. Try http://rhye.civfanatics.net/ that is the official RFC forum. I am spending quite some time on it now.
Lovely mod...except for the speed setting...only normal speed?...I think it would be better off including marathon speed... its been awhile since i crawled into the forums so if this has been fixed please give me a hint
I have got into playing it over the last six months, and I think it is very good. The history is fun of course, but also it genuinely gives situations in which you can 'win' while being at the bottom of the heap (e.g. its fun to have to try to defend against rifles with longbows, without it meaning that the game has gone terribly badly wrong). I have just won as the aztecs - what a game!
The main problem i have with it is that the victory confidions are ambiguous sometimes. They are well thought through, great etc. but sometimes you don't quite know what is needed (e.g. russia found three cities in siberia - but where counts). I know that there are some maps online to help with this, but its still a pain. As aztec I needed to enslave 5 european units - but did russians count? and I couldn't tell how many I had enslaved.
Overall RFC is poorly documented. For Arabia it says that one need three holy cities, however, one actually needs three holy city shrines. There is something iffy with the Viking ship count, I believe that is a ship is in a city and the city is conquered, the ship is sunk but it does not count towards the 25 ships. Some of the control areas have to be looked up online, information is there and it is accurate, but one has to look to find it.
I strongly dislike the mod.
Winning the Babylonian historic victory on average difficulty level was totally impossible last I checked.
Playing as Rome, you have to guess that you should send a soldier into Gaul to conquer it, bypassing the fact that Iberia was a Roman colony before Gaul, and generally the historic victories and events seem very very arbitrary to me.

Check the wiki for the Babylonian UHV. I have done it many times on Monarch (the only difficulty that I use in RFC). It is doable on the version that ships with BtS and the newer (1.18 ...something IIIRC).
The first time I tried with Egypt I did not think the UHV was even possible, but after visiting the wiki and improving my skills I managed to do it. I have done most of the UHVs, however, I have never done one the first time, it always takes several tries to tune up the strategy.
When i play as Rome, I send one of my first settlers to Iberia and found a colony next to the silver and that is before any city in Gaul spawns to be conquered. Not because of historical accuracy, but because of game-play, it works better that way. I also make sure I conquer Greece and Carthage asap.
Why do you think the UHVs and events are arbitrary?
If the Chinese decide to make the same beeline (and they just might) you will lose. They play on Noble and you play on Monarch. You simply can’t get there faster than them.
So you cannot win unless you're lucky, you've got no control over it, it's pretty much a dice roll. That is why I hate this UHV.
Why do you think the UHVs and events are arbitrary?
UHVs are arbitrary because they focus on some aspect of a nation, disregarding others.
For instance, French UHV is fine to represent the French Monarchy. It stops representing French behavior before the Revolution: A French player will not try to act as Napoleon did, nor colonise Africa, which means it effectively ends the game earlier for this civ than what I'd deem correct, and forgetting the French Revolution and Napoleonic wars in a game that would mimic history seem dead wrong to me.
As for events, plopping cities in Gaul at the "correct" times looks very artificial to me. When yI first started settling Gaul and realise cities spawn there out of nothing, I was quite unhappy. This magic cities appearing behaviour may make it sensible to settle Spain first, because you'll get Gaul for free, but I can't help disliking it.

maybe you should try it , .... its easy to win if you play the game with a bit of thinking , .... even on the high level aldo it will challenge you , .... if one player fails it does not mean that you or some one else will fail , ... feel free to have a game and post your comments on the wiki or mail them to Rhye or me , ....
Similar to RtW, I believe Rhye has released several updates to the BtS version of RFC outside of the official Firaxis patches. I'm pretty sure that in particular Babylonian UHV was tweaked to make it more obtainable. Anybody who's playing RFC right now should check on CFC if they are playing the latest version.
I've only played Rhye's a few times but I liked what I've seen. I would actually like to see the stability concept used in an hypothetical Civ V but with several major tweaks. The main issue I have with stability in the current version of RFC is that it's really difficult to know if you are improving or worsening stability and you have no idea your are making the wrong decisions until your stability drops a level and your empire crumbles.
I have only tried to get UHVs so far. Next time I play I think I might take an early Civ like Egypt or India and try to play it as a normal Civ game (ie try to get an cultural, space race victory or diplomatic victory. Conquest or Domination would likely be impossible in RFC).
