With the new version of SecuROM and the limited number of activations garbage, it would be true doom and gloom for the game industry if EA were to take over 2kgames. Seriously, EA is the worst publisher because they don't understand how copy protection can kill sales.

Is it correct that there is a 4 air unit maximum per city? I seem to be unable to build more, but this doesn't seem to be documented anywhere. And the game starts behaving rather weird if you build over 4 air units. It starts putting them in different cities, even AI cities, for example. Or they simple don't appear at all (instead of the build option being greyed out, as for missionaries).

And I am able to build over 4 air units in AI cities. So if there's a limit, it doesn't seem to apply to opponents cities?

It's not a bug...Solver wanted it in the game.

(I assume you mean: base, not build). This sounds like a bug. The 4 air unit limit should be absolute.

The limit doesn't work properly with vassal cities, it's a bug in 3.13.

No, build. I don't know about basing, I haven't actually tried that.

My own air units are being build in AI cities for some reason (probably because my own city (OCC) is full. Once there are no AI cities (IE: No open borders) it simply doesn't build air units. The option doesn't get greyed out though, the air unit simply fails to appear anywhere.

Anyway that 4 air unit limit is new, I suppose. I never noticed it before. It isn't documented anywhere (except that an airport says "raises limit by 4", in retrorespect I now know what that means).

It's a really annoying and stupid limit. Really hurts OCC games!

So are those AIs your vassals?

It sounds pretty weird. If your city has 4 air units, the city should refuse to build any additional air units. But due to a bug in 3.13 you can base unlimited planes in cities of your vassals. And yes, the limit is new

the air unit limit is daft, especially for multiplay.
