I have all the requisites to create Sid's Sushi but darned if I can figure out how. I have -- finally! -- the Great Merchant in my capital. I have 1 clam and 1 crab. I have researched Medicine. But I don't get to build it in the capital. So I moved the Merchant to the coastal city that has the clam -- still can't build it. I've looked at the Civilopedia entry ten times -- I'm going nuts. Why is it so hard to figure out?

Are you running an Economic civic other than State Property and -- also as Ming says
-- has it already been founded by someone else?

Requirements for a corporation include:
* The Corporation tech
* tech for the appropriate corp you wish to find
* Appropriate type of GP to build the building
* Resource to build the corp
Are you trying to "build" it with the build menu, or looking for the cute little icon on the Great Merchant's action bar?<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Also, if you are trying to figure out if someone else has it, there is a corporation button in the upper right - select it and see if it's been founded or not (it will say when/where). The button looks like a briefcase.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

Dan, it helps to have played the game before you give advice about itOriginally posted by DanQ
Do you have enough gold to found the corporation's headquarters, are you running an Economic civic other than State Property and -- also as Ming says
-- has it already been founded by someone else?
It costs nothing to found a corp HQ (I just did it on a worldbuilder start with 0 gp). Just the two techs, required resource, and the GP. (And not Merc or SP)

-- I was channeling setting up branches in other cities for some reason. I've edited my post accordingly.
