I don't currently have warlords installed, or the hard drive space to install it, so I can't take a screenshot, but this save file is where I took LONDON by culture.

Oh and "The future will be better tomorrow."

BTW I do wonder why Lancer didn't point out my other quote.

The one space is enlarged a bit. Now includes the spot next to the ocean. With the mountain it cuts completely across the Zuly empire. I suppose I could use that somehow if I wanted to turn on him, which I don't. The reverse might happen though.
Now to be completley honest the French and Germans seem to be getting along. You are more or less spot on the rest.

Anyhow on topic: You can use it as a military outpost. I'd think of it like Guantanamo Bay or the Spanish enclaves. To have a plot like that in enemy territory would be a blessing, I'd put a fort there real quick and use it as a base during an assault.

"To me also. I mean, you're winning!? "

Theben, it's not a first, and I've been even lots of times too. Usually in 4000 BC...

"Lancer: Yeah, you could. With those two squares, your knights could get from your terratory into three different cities of his in one turn at any time, which is pretty cool.

Also, he's not likely to want to break open borders with you, since tht would cut his empire in half. If he does go to war with you, you could then blockade his capital from the water and perhaps completly cut him off from his southern cities, depending on what other trade routes he has."

Yosho, great plan. Fanning out to three different destinations... Regarding him not wanting to break open borders, do you think the AI considers stuff to that extent? I hope so, but I wonder.

                "Pretty lousy general actually"

"They wanted me to be another Washington"-Emporer Napoleon (Or something like that)

Seedle, THAT's impressive! I've now moved the Zulu out of one of the fat cross spaces myself. Also, to take a screenie, hit print screen, go to paint and paste then save as some name. Then go to Imageshack on the net and upload and scroll down to select for forums, copy the link and paste in the thread.

                Where's Patton?

"BTW I do wonder why Lancer didn't point out my other quote."

Heraclitus, what quote? "Happens sometimes" ?

Heraclitus, the French and Germans usually do get along pretty well...between the wars.

I'll do the fort, I'm on it.

Thank you Lancer But you misunderstood a little. I know HOW to do screenies, but I can't load a warlords save cause I don't currently have warlords on my computer and don't have room to reload it. Tomorrow I'll see if I can't get some of the other users to clean house a little and see if I can't get enough room to load Warlords back on.
On that note, does anyone know whether the warlords patches are all save compatible, and if not, how to tell what version I need to load a given save? I actually have a whole folder with 20 saves in it I'd like to get into.

If you didn't use "lock modified assets" they should be backward-compatible; i'm not sure if they're forward-compatible. Just patch to the newest ver, that should be fine.

On the actual topic, that one tile cultural island you have is because it is a double diagonal from two of the Zulu City, and so got either little or none from that city SW (can't tell which because of City Walls), none at all from that city SE, and so it's predominately from their capital.

That tile east of there there has gotten enough culture from the SE city which combined with their capital, outmasses yours.

Bummer, I wanted to show you guys an updated shot and imageshack is telling me the 'file type is not supported.'

Anyway the POWA of my culture has now taken over a hex within the fat cross of the Zulu cap, plus a few others.

                            Screenshots!

Keep it up Lancer! Take Ulundi by culture! And get us some screenshots! Getting any culture that close to an enemy capital is impressive. If you can take Ulundi by culture with the Romans it will completely blow my mind. I had to work the whole game to do it with a creative/industrious leader, if you can do it, I will give you mass props.

And thanks to Snoopy for answering my question.

I already built the culture doubling tweedle in another city. Or did I? Hmmm But I built west point and the ironworks in that city so no more national wonders.

Nice screens, love all the little islands. Plus York is a canal, very cool. Hope you can get it, but just getting London is a friggin monster in itself!
