Ming, it's easy enough to test it yourself in WB.

        Ugh.

So theoretically, would it be possible to capture a city with Ironworks and in doing so block you from building it yourself in the city you actually wanted it in?

Yes, I've captured scotland yards many times, but never Ironworks.

Cuz Scotland yard isn't really a NW is it? It's analogous to an academy, which is absolutely capture-able. You can build more than one Scotland yard right? You just need enough Great Spies.

Prior to BtS, Scotland Yard was a national wonder. Since BtS, it's not; it's like an Academy, Shrine, or Military Academy, a special building that can be produced by a certain type of great person.

Globe Theater is actually a specific location. Ideally it would be in the largest city you've ever planning on having, but it is often preempted from there by the 2 national wonder limit.

Normally I end up building it in an inland high hammer low commerce city, being near the border is gravy. In my current game though as the Dutch on an Archepello map where I had no inland cities I just ended up puting in on the best city that was left after the higher priority wonders.

On Mt Rushmore, in my current game I paired it with the Globe Theater, it's marginally complementary with it since it produces 1 Great Artist point.

As to Scotland Yard, in BTS, you can build one in every city per Great Spy is born if you like.

Pre-BtS Scotland Yard was location-specific in that it was best in a city capable of cranking out spies quickly. I usually put it in my top production city that was not getting two other NWs, so I could cut the time needed to deploy and replace spies. If I had a coastal city that was close to that point in the production ranking, I'd bump it over an inland city with a little better production and make it a sub pen, as well. The goal was to have a high-movement sub parked in the city so the spy could board the turn she was created and be off to whatever destination she was bound for.
