download the 1.1 patch so you can load above all this is the most important thing cuz otherwise you would have to go from start to finish with no loads and leave civ 4 until you beat it. Also USA will have the longest boring time which is a drawback to being USA. Russia or Germany are probably the best way to go being that US is last in the war.
Question how does it handle Pear harbor what so like it forces the US to leave the battleships at port

Sorry if you've already done this, but I want to ensure you setup is correct:

Civ4 vanilla (+ Warlords: optional) + BtS:
1. Install BtS
2. Install BtS patch 3.13
3. Install RtW Add-on Pack 1
4. Install RtW 1.2 Beta2

Civ4 Complete:
1. Install Complete
2. Install RtW Add-on Pack 1 (careful of the directory as Complete uses a different directory to above!)
3. Install RtW 1.2 Beta2

Now you will NOT be able to use a save game from any other version of RtW, so please don't try.

Start a new game and play a turn. Save game. Exit, then load up and try to open the save game. Does it work?

Nice! More goodies in RtW. I'm glad I looked at page 2 of the current threads. I'll download this tonight and start playing. I'll start a game as the US.

The good news is I *just* got done building a nice new PC w/ a PCI-e video card and loading BtS on it. It won't choke and die every couple of turns like my old PC used to do once everyone got their armies built. Heck, I'll even be able to do side-by-side comparisons of RtW 1.1 and 1.2 Beta.

OK, Beta 2 loaded and working. I started a game as Roosevelt, 1936, Random Event Times, Prince Level.

Game saves working OK so far. I've done two save - exit program - load. No problems.

One minor bug so far - I'm seeing the country of China as unlabeled. Leader is "President Chiang of ". Country name just shows up as a blank after the score in the score list.

I would suggest that not all files are there. Make sure you have Add-on 1 and then the beta.

Have you got the file: \The Road to War\Assets\XML\Terrain\CIV4TerrainInfos.xml?

That's the file being referenced in the error message you posted.

Beta 3 is now available!

It is a complete version, so just delete the \Road to War folder and unzip to your \Mods folder.

It goes on to refernce a whole lot of files?

Maybe delete the 1.2 Beta and try re-installing the addon pack - then Beta 3?
