I wasn't impressed with the stable building event. My choices were:
1) All horse units get the sentry promotion
2) (Might have confused this one because it wasn't that good) All stables provide +1 food
3) 7 free Horse Archers (with no stinking promotions)
OH JOY!
You get better units, e.g., knights, if you've made the tech by the completion time. Seven knights, even unpromoted, can really change your power position. I think #2 was +1 gold per stable (could be wrong).

I'm pretty sure option #2 it's +1 food per stable.
