GT seems to me completely worthless. I only ever bother to build it when there's nothing left to build. Of course I only play at prince-monarch levels/SP so maybe it has some value at higher levels/MP.
Slightly off the topic of the main discussion, but I must disagree re: the GT.
This is a splendid national wonder to build in any high food city. You can whip the population till you're blue in the face and they won't care at all. It makes putting up crazy-fast infrastructure in that city a snap, cranking out hella lots of troops easy (either with slavery or nationalism)...pretty good stuff.![Smile](https://apolyton.net/core/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Regarding National Epic - I will build this wherever I've got the most GPP's cranking. Usually, it's in my food heavy specialist city, or my production heavy wonder building machine (and generally the latter over the former, as those aren't always in the same place).
Regarding Moai Statues - I like to save this one till I go overseas...my first conquest overseas is almost always a coastal grab, and this is a good way to gain a production boost on the new continent to ramp up sustainability "over yonder" (I especially like playing Terra maps, and find this to be most useful in that setting).
