Quitting when he gets ahead, and calling that "victory." No way 9 hours enables a complete game on marathon unless it's on a tiny, duel world. (If the latter, why bother with marathon?)

Well I'm certainly not wasting time on any of that micro-management nonsense.
Fastest Marathon win was about 4/5 hours, small/pangea/monarch on Warlords. I got the Romans as a random leader, iron near the capital. It's virtually cheating. I vasselised everyone and got a conquest victory about the same time as I got Cavalry. My Praetorians were still effective. I usually play normal sized maps though.
BTS is much harder. I'm getting much more competitive games at Prince than I used to at Monarch, but I haven't played Marathon on that yet.Jon Miller: MikeH speaks the truth
